You're really comparing kid Gohan to kid Sasuke? Those two are nothing alike. Sasuke was an arrogant prick who thought he could beat anyone. Gohan was very shy, afraid, and respectful.



Vegeta never cared about his race and even said as much to Dodoria before he killed him. His only goal was to surpass Goku in power. Also never compare Sasuke to Vegeta because it's an insult to Vegeta.

I realize that. Sasuke was an arrogant prick even before he became a bad guy. Kakashi even states this at the beginning of the manga when saying Sasuke thought he was so far above the others that he thought the others were useless.

He willingly went up against Kid Buu knowing he had absolutely no chance against him. Goku and company wouldn't of ran away even if they knew the legends because that's not in their character. Piccolo even said that if we don't destroy him now then he'll destroy the entire galaxy.
