its true that sakura protected them from the sound ninjas, but they were not neerly as powerfull as pains god realm, who hinata protected naruto from

Not to mention Sakura placed all the weight of finding Sasuke on Naruto instead of lending a hand, no matter how useless it would've been at that point. Hinata's sacrifice was useful at least.

sakura may have defended naruto and sasuke from the sound ninjas, but they are not as powerfull as pains god realm, who hinata defended naruto against

Well Sakura knew Naruto would be the only one to save Sasuke at that point. You wan her to risk her life when she knows full well that she tried and failed to bring sasuke back.

"If you go, I'll scream" (paraphrased) those were Sakura's words, that was her resolve on how to bring Sasuke back and after she was knocked unconscious like a noob she went and begged Naruto and that's sticked with him for 3 years.

Everybody knew Naruto would be the only one to have a chance at pain since Jiraiya was defeated and Tsuande was weak as hell releasing all her chakra to Katsuya to protect the village. However, Hinata still went out there and risked her life, even knowing that she would most likely die. She didn't have that block in her head that said "Going out there would be useless since I'm no match so I'll just stay here" She saw the one she loved in danger and she went out without hesitation.

If Sakura were that much in love with Sasuke at the time (pre-timeskip) she would've done the same thing and not have thought about her being useless, she should've placed her life on the line even if it was useless. Selfless acts are often enough rewarded.

Example: Hinata sacrificing herself caused Naruto to break free and finally take down pain. Everybody knew plot no jutsu wouldn't let the Fox take over Naruto and kill him, ending the series so yeah.

How would you develop genuine love for somebody after they've left for 3 years and you haven't seen them. Sakura started as school girl crushing, then she developed love within the first part of the series before Sasuke's defection.

Did you know that "indirectly" Hinata saved the Naruto from being captured and the series ending by doing what she did. Naruto went 4, 6, 8 tails and washed Pain saving himselve so he wouldn't be captured. Kishi wouldn't allow Naruto to end just like that so we know he wasn't going to die there so we didn't have to worry about him dying or nothing. So Hinata in turn saved Naruto by her actions. Also it was Pain's buthole move to nearly kill her to prove a point.
