Okay just a theory but it's a spoiler at the same time

i reckon in the near future shirahoshi will join the straw hats based on the fact that caribou has know found out about her being one of the ancient weapons (poseidon), after that information about her will get spread to through world and many pirates marines and world goverment alike will eventually be after her for different purposes. Since she won't be safe on fishmen island i bet neptune will pleed luffy to keep her safe aboard his ship. thats my prediction/theory
the only problem is her size of course but i could imagine something happening which enables her to become normal mermaid size

I thought about that but discarded the thought she will be the same as Vivi and have her duty to her people

We are linking everyone with the SH, may it be Aokiji, Megallan, Shirahoshi, Coby and even Smoker. It's not possible and i also think the new SH member would a new character.
