Genjutsu

I feel like Genjutsu is pretty ignored in the series. I mean Itachi uses it effectively obviously, but are there many other ninja that do? I feel like whenever there is one who uses it they're found out pretty quickly and then its just gone...am I wrong? I'd personally like to see more examples of effective genjutsu in the series since they put it in there...

Its already shown, like fight between Itachis clone and naruto, some fights of Kurenai (i guess anime filler),danzo and sasuke. And if if jutsu is shown in details then the manga would continue for years.

edo tensei , inzanagi , kotoamatsukami , maa and paas frog song , this what so ever genjutsu from pain.. there are some people how use genjutsu effektivly

I totally agree. Since part 1 it was talked about as if it was a basic thing that a shinobi should know how to do like taijutsu. But it's treated like it's a special thing that only a handful of people can do. I want everyone to do it!!!! And I don't want people to realize they are in it so quickly because that just defeats the purpose...but maybe I'll think differently when I'm further along. I'm only towards the end of the Sanbi sealing arc right now.

The only non-Uchiha that we have seen skill with Genjutsu are the Second Mizukage and Kurenai Yuhi. I would like to see more of it throughout the series but normally when we do it is cheap techniques. Im guessing it is one of the hardest jutsu to train in.

I dont really think its underrated, atleast not for itachi and shishui, everyone says its one hit kill.
