Minato invented the Rasengan, and Kakashi has the sharingan and was Minato's student. Have you really never seen them use the Rasengan? What chapter/episode are you on?

Minato is the creator of Rasengan, it's mentioned many times in the manga by Jiraiya. If I recall correctly, Bee said that Minato created the Rasengan by observing the Tailed Beast Bomb. He also uses it at his fight against Tobi.

It's in chapter 502.

Eidetic memory.

It's an annoyance more than a positive trait. Comes hand in hand with OCD.
You tend to recall every simple insignificant detail about stuff that don't really matter, hence, the chapter numbers.
