Just started here... so Hi everyone! ^_^
but anyway, I watched Naruto almost everyday when I was younger on CartoonNetwork, but they stopped airing it after a while.
I recently found the first four seasons of it on Netflix, and just started on season 2 today.
I love this show, and I have a lot of questions.

But my only one for now is, Does Naruto Shippuden begin where the other Naruto ended? If not, Is there anyway to tie the shows together?

If anyone can answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

there is a little bit of a time skip but yea it starts with naruto comeing back to the village with jirriya

Naruto Shippuden begins 3 years after the ending of Naruto. However, there are many flashbacks that show what happened in between then.

there is a timeskip, but nothing to worry about, almost nothing happens in the meantime.
some minor things happen, but they are covered by the time.

yeah don't watch the fillers
after episode 135 go watch the last 5 minutes of the last episode (episode 220) then start to shippuuden.
somebody told me to do it like this but I didn't listen to him.

Yeah the last chunk of fillers for part 1 are unnecessary. U_U

I skipped to the save Gaara arc and then moved to shippuden. I was so excited at the beginning but....

Then the horrible reign of fillers set in and I just stuck with the manga and now I am caught up. I wish I had read the manga from Ch.1 instead. :/

Im with you i watched all of that filler and ..... i cant discribe how disappointed i was by the end.

yeah, I even took a break you know? when I was at about episode 200 I stopped watching naruto for a week. then it took a long time until I watched the rest 20.
but shippuuden was finished in less than a week (when I started shippuuden 74th episode was aired. and I watched episode 75 one day after it aired)
