Suggestion: Default Text Formatting

If there's one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people need to use certain fonts and text formatting when it comes to them just generally posting. I don't know why they do it, but I guess it can create some form of character to their posts and to themselves. Well there's this thing I've found out called Default Text Formatting, which when you set it to whatever you want, all your posts, VMs and everything like that from there on out would look like what you wanted. So say you wanted a Tahoma font with blue text, you'd fill it out and then all your posts from there would have Tahoma font and a blue colour.

I've done a little bit of research into what mod would be needed to use it and found these, which are for vBulletin 4.0x and 3.8x respectively.

I feel this would be very beneficial to a lot of people since there are a lot of people who do use text formatting, and this would take out the having to select your preferred text colour and preferred text font.

This isn't really about if someone has an annoying font or not, it's so you don't have to fill out all the tags for the font you want. I've seen people need to center, change the font, colour, italicalize and everything, and something like this would remedy that problem.

If this is to be implemented, yoo would get a little box in your User CP somewhere and you could change your default posting font from that. And then you won't need to use your advanced options to change your font type anymore.

The links are all there for the more official side of things, for if it gets implemented, whoever puts it on knows what one to put on because of the vBulletin version. Once it's on the site (if it gets on) it doesn't matter what you've got in terms of laptop or anything like that.

I don't even know if this suggestion has even been suggested before, but it seemed like a god idea, given the amount of people who do use text formatting in all their posts, so why not have it. It helps everyone and there's really no downside to something like this.

I like it alternative. Its quite good. I like to use some formating in my posts but i'm most of the times to lazy to go through all the steps every single time...lol

Since I have been an active user of different fonts from the very first post I made, I support this idea fully. I use different fonts on Role Playing and as well my regular posts so this would be really useful. Though, I think I once suggested something similar but it was pretty much ignored.

"Why use different fonts?" Yes, indeed. It looks bold, boring and in my opinion, the fonts give character and just little seasoning the original that everyone else use. I don't see as too much of a trouble personalizing my posts every time since it has become a habit but this would be really helpful.​

Well I still don't see the need to have to reject the idea. There's a mod just for the use of it, all it needs is to be implemented, and for admins to do it, should they want it in.
