well imho, Kishi had to kill him to get him out of the way of the story, but wtf did he kill him so quickly for I dunno, I'm no Nagato fan, but I've loads of respect for the guy, I liked his back story and such way more than this soap opera Uchiha family drama.

Honestly certain ppl make it seem as though kabuto controlling Nagato is the same as fighting Nagato, I just hate the way he died, he deserved a more drawn out battle, I wasn't ready to see his character go, and for a brief flicker in time I thought he'd teach Naruto the preta path technique.

Then there's the fact that we may never get to see the awesomeness that is The Asura path, I swear that has to be the most underrated tech in all of naruto, that $hit was so cool, and it ended up feeling cheap when you saw Nagato getting warmed up, and then the haxxed swrod of Totsuka comes to move the plot along. all of this is my opinion though so plz ppl no one take this to heart

Genjutsu is probably the key to defeat Nagato. Itachi was said to be the best genjutsu user, also it was said that he can use genjutsu from a long distance.

But people are only thinking Rinnegan > Sharingan and that's why they're saying that Nagato is stronger.

Yes, Nagato has better ninjutsu techniques. But what about intelligence, genjutsu and taijutsu? Itachi is good at analyzing enemy's techniques and he's one of the most intelligent ninjas in Naruto. He could definately make up some good strategy to defeat him.


Also I want to say that they both has a chance of winning.

Precisely, if Nagato had use Shinra tensei instead of chibaku tensei, the naruto series would've pretty much been over, no one's saying that Itachi is weak, but honestly if it weren't for plot I see no way for him to die.

He's can be way more versatile with his techs , and it honestly looked to me like he had grabbed both Naruto and bee, and had enough time to yank both their souls out, but you know how plot no jutsu goes.

Ppl also seem to forget how Rinnegan gives you all element affinities, yet Nagato rarely used any elemental jutsu's, his well runs deepeth, while Itachi has susanoo and genjutsu, I mean honestly to me the guy is boring as hell.
