Nope, Deidara won because he was superior. Limited amount of clay, only C1 and 1 C3 bomb makes it a fair fight.

Mei | Gaara - (draw) Mei's Lava release would either burn through or just seal gaara inside his own ultimate defense, also her acid technique had the power to melt susanoo i'm fairly certain it would beat Gaara's sand. However if Gaara were able to catch her in the sand due to its speed then he may be able to win with his desert burial technique, if he relied on defense he'd lose, his best chance would be to go all out offense.

Tsunade < Gaara - Gaara would win this one, Tsunade's only Kage because she was a sannin imo
A > Gaara - Sorry but if Sasuke's Chidori could pierce Gaara's ultimate defense but couldnt pierce A's lightning armour then A should be able to punch through it like it wasnt even there.

you cant rate the kage on strength, they all have strengths and weaknesses, for example, raikage might be useless at attacking mei due to her lave shield, as it'd do an ameratsu to his limb, but would be good against gaara, whos shield his lightning could penetrate and speed could avoid.

dude, blocking the raikages kick in that instance DOES NOT mean he is faster. He and his team in the chuunin exams were briefed on sasuke then, and im willing to bet they delved even deeper and found out about the ms techs awhile back. So granted he was probably anticipating amaterasu, he could gather sand around the spot far quicker than anyone could get there (maybe except minato or naruto currently). If you actually watch the first series, although his mother inhabits the sand, naruto was still able to out maneuver it, remember at one point gaara was freaking because he couldnt keep up but his sand did, then soon after naruto upped it more and the sand couldnt keep up. that was during the exams, so what you are saying is that A is slower than pissed off naruto back in the first series? I play the bullsh*t card and bid you good day.

Believe it or not. Gaara got way better than the first series. Gaara's sand is fast.
