Does anyone have pet axolotles out there?

I've got 2, its like having cuddly pokemon

I don't have any pets Neither have I ever cuddled a Pokémon.
But it's an awesome animal! What's its name?

Got two, smallest is a girl called Pookie and the second is a male called Cartman...he's missing a leg, but it'l grow back cause they can regenerate. They're very rare and almost extinct. You should try n get some, you'd be doing the planet a favour.

O_O Regeneration is cool. The names are nice, too.
But I'm afraid I won't be able to get one... My parents wouldn't agree to that.

Maybe a goldfish. >_< They can see infrared and ultraviolette, they're the only kind that can see those both. And if you put them in the dark room, they will eventually stop glowing

If they're rare, and almost extinct, how could you get two of those Axolotles?

hehe. They are for sale in shops. Only some though.

If you by chance see some, they are as easy to keep as fish and much friendlier.
They recognise you and try and get your attention...a lot
They only live in one river on this planet but are being bred as much as possible but that's in captivity, not in the wild. They are in short supply in the wild.

They get your attention by coming up to the side of the tank where you are closest and they just look at you. Once you start looking at them they raise one of their legs to say 'Hello'. It's really cool. Also, if you put your hands in the tank, they come and sit inside them. I have 2 currently looking at me.

And it's best to keep smiling at them, if they keep looking at you.
It makes Pookie and Cartman wonder what you're up to.

Dunno if communication is the word. They just recognise you and are all like hello. It's nice cause they don't do it for other people. HeHe, I think they know that I'm the food giver and that why they like me.

Hello is one of the best ways to communicate :| I start waving at people, and most of the time they wave back. It's communication. U_U
I wouldn't wave to people I didn't know, because they might think I'm a stalker O_O

And it's important to know who the food giver is. If you would be terrible against that person, you might miss a meal

I hope there are but it would be nice to be able to spread the word about them. We should inform SG TAKA and see if he's interested.

SG TAKA. . . You could always do that. Maybe you should first try to find someone at the base that has an Axolotles ^_^
