Link to support this please? He didn't have rinnegan at the time anyways. So, you cannot take it under consideration that he was doing that with the intentions of stealing intel from him.

Watch episode 208 of the anime- Tobi doesn't touch Fu at all, he ripped his arm off to distract him then absorbed him standing about 2 metres away- I noticed in the panels you posted that Tobi wasn't touching Fu, so I watched the episode to confirm it. Tobi grabbed Torune even though he knew Torune was covered in poisonous insects because he could rip off the affected arm and it didn't cost him anything- one thing is certain, Torune's jutsu didn't harm Tobi at all, he ripped off his arm like nothing and used it to distract Fu, and now he has a new one. It wasn't as if Tobi made a huge sacrifice to defeat Torune.

The bottom left panel of page 12 shows Tobi placing his hand on Naruto's head covering the top half of his face and holding his head, if you go to the next page you see that Tobi's hand would have been covering most of Naruto's head before he dematerialized. Tobi is doing it from this angle because Naruto is laying on his back whereas each time Pain used human path his victims were kneeling with their backs to him.

What is your excuse for Tobi not touching Fu in the manga either? It wasn't only in the anime, Tobi is very distinctly not touching Fu, scroll up the page to the very picture you posted. Tobi only has one arm and it is hanging at his side while he sucks Fu into his sharingan.

We can all see that Tobi touched Torune and we can all see that the poisonous insects didn't harm Tobi in any way, ripping his arm off was not a sacrifice for Tobi, we see he has a new arm already, as I stated in my previous post. You failed to explain how this point is still significant when Tobi was unaffected by touching Torune and directly afterwards sucked Fu into his sharingan without placing his hand on him.

Don't take this so personally, if you are getting too upset maybe you should take a break from the forums.

This link shows the panels of Tobi kicking his arm at Fu, then while Fu ducks down dodging the arm Tobi materializes in front of Fu and sucks him into his sharingan without physically touching him. Did you really say that I'm a joke because of the content of the manga? Why hasnt Tobi just warped Naruto to his secret dimension while he deals with Bee????

Of course the answer is clear to any intelligent person...EVERY jutsu has a weakness...and Tobis teleporting weakness is that it requires him to TOUCH the person or object he is teleporting....

I'm not saying Tobi didnt kick his arm to distract FUU.....I'm saying he didnt rip his arm off just because he wanted to distract him....he HAD TO RIP IT OFF....it was infected by the poison insects....and it was ONLY INFECTED BECAUSE HE TOUCHED TORUNE....he touched Tourune KNOWING he would get infected....if he could teleport at range, he would have no need to touch Torune, and he could have distraced Fuu the same way he has already done....by dematerializing and coming from undernearth him....he kicked his arm because he HAD to rip it off anyway and if it hit Fuu it would have messed him up...he needed to distract him BECAUSE HE HAD TO GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO TELEPORT HIM AWAY...AKA close enough to TOUCH HIM

You are asking me questions that anyone reading the manga is intended to wonder about on their own. Your determined to stand by your opinion and refute examples directly from the manga and anime which depict Tobi sucking someone into his eye without touching them. Just saying the anime is irrelevant to the manga is a stubborn refusal to accept that Tobi doesn't need to touch people to use his sharingan- you are free to disagree on this point all you like, but just because you choose to believe the anime inaccurately portrays Tobi's defeat of Fu and Torune and so choose to pretend the anime is irrelevant to the manga heavily undermines your credibility- there is no longer any point in debating with you. You might be taken more seriously if you treated other people with respect my friend.

the anime ( as I already pointed out) doesnt always follow the manga exactly because its not KISHI doing the animation and story...

because of that its UNVERSALLY known that the manga is cannon, and the anime is NOT. You can NOT use the anime to prove the manga wrong, because the CREATOR of Naruto writes the manga...and his word is final...

Show me a pic IN THE MANGA of tobi NOT TOUCHING someone before he teleports them. Not a pic of Tobi standing behind someone...(even though its OBVIOUS why he has to get close to suck them in)

That statement of Tobi means human path is out of the question. And besides, if his soul were ripped out, he'd die but the Akatsuki want the jinchurikis alive and immobile so the beast can be extracted and simultaneously sealed inside gedo mazo.

Remember Gaara died after the Shukaku was extracted from him via gedo mazo , not before. Same with the other jinchurikis

You are making ridiculous claims with no evidence- Tobi warps people to a different dimension through his hands now? He warps them through his eye- he holds them in place for accuracy, but in the anime it is very clear when Tobi warps anything, the object/person he warps becomes distorted and twirls in a spiral as it is sucked into his eye. His hand touching them has little or nothing to do with it, at most just being a way to stop anyone from avoiding the technique because it is imprecise unlike Kakashi's kamui which can pinpoint objects. It is all done through the sharingan- why would you think things are absorbed into Tobi's dimension through Tobi's hand?

Finally a post other than the obvious that has some plausibility.

We know that Tobi touching Naruto is for one of two purposes:

Human Path
Dimensional Transfer

It is much more difficult to transfer any object into a moving dimension if the object is moving. It bodes well for Tobi to grab firm grip then utilize his Sharingan for the transfer.

During the battle with Konan he switched from absorbing the attack to phasing through it:

This suggests that the act of physically touching the object being absorbed is more insurance than a requirement for the technique. We have seen many links showing tobi physically touching ninjas to absorb them, but no one suggested that it might be a ploy to add stability to the object being absorbed. Tobi could absorb an explosion, which is not a physical object that is touched, but is a force upon Tobi that can be absorbed.

Tobi has the advantage of tangibility. THIS IS THE REAL MYSTERY. Zetsu is the only other character that we see phase in and out of physical objects at will.

Because once you retrieve information to the person your trying to do gain it from, he dies instantly. Narutopedia even agrees with the fact that he used Human Path. Why is it hard to understand he used Human Path?

That is because Nagato didn't succeed in pulling out Naruto's soul, due to Bee's attack. If he wanted to acquire information from Naruto, which he has no reason to, he'll place his hand on his head and Naruto will die instantly once the information that Nagato acquires is transferred.

It is highly possible he planned on taking his soul and information. After this, warp him into his other dimension and revive him later with Naraka Path in order to revive him and extract the Kyuubi out of him. I say it's a possibility because Kabuto intended to doing so.

So it's likely Tobi wanted to emulate Kabuto's plan. It makes sense because it would save him the effort of trying to kill Naruto besides using Human Path.

If you say he was not using Human Path, considering the fact he seemed to be pulling what appears to be a soul, then what else do you think he was doing? Even with the including fact that Nagato said ''Human Path'' as he did so himself. Tobi appeared to be doing the same jutsu as Nagato and he even has the rinnegan. So how can it not cross your mind that he was using Human Path? Do you really think there's no way he used Human Path at all?
