Sorry if this is the Wrong Section, I don't know what Category this should go under...
But What Tablet or Device is good for GFX....
I wanna start Coloring Manga Pages, and I read a few times people use Tablets cause it helps coloring easy...
I looked on Google and I got quite a few different Results....
One Result was someone used a Wacom Tablet, So I looked that up and this is what it is....
You must be registered for see images
When people mean they Color with Tablets are they talking about the thing Above? Or something like the Ipad/Playbook.....
So Could you guys answer the following...
1.What Tablet are they referring to? Something like the Ipad of this Hacom Thing?
2.What Tablet is good for Manga Coloring, and is able to use Photoshop?

Mercy knows best, heck no. :p
Well, yes - They do mean a thing like you posted above. A graphics tablet :| But if I were you, don't start to color things If you have no Idea how everything in Photoshop or SAI works. That's just my advise, I started with Photoshop almost 5 years ago and, 5 months ago I decided to start coloring and got a tablet.

And at first, you should try to color without a tablet; Just look at He is my 2nd favorite Artist on Deviantart and does everything without a tablet. So yeah, try to color without one in the beginning.

And if you do get one, only get a Wacom tablet. I don't know what your price range is but the cheapest one is like 80$ (Expensive ones 400$<, heck there is even one for 3000$). That's what I have, a Wacom Bamboo Pen. It's pretty nice and eventho it is small, you can still work great with it. Im getting a new one in a year or so when Im more experienced, probably a really big one. Not sure yet tho.

So yeah, do you want to know anything else?

Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen & Touch S for your first tablet, in my opinion it's the best choice. That's what I have :]

Well, Mercy said everything else :]

Yeah I have a lot of Experience with Photoshop I took Photography and a few Photoshop Courses over the Year... So I think I might give this Tablet thing a Shot....
But a few questions:
1.On the Tablet how do you exactly know where your coloring at on the Screen? This is probably one of my Biggest Questions...
2.You said you had a Bamboo Pen.... A Bamboo Stylus? Idk on the Website only these came....

3.What else can you do with this Tablet?

Same as Above: On the Website I don't see the Touch S, or what Mercy said he had.... And how much did the Touch S and Fun Pen Cost?

Thanks Fiakkiri and Mercy+Rep

That's the tablet I own.

And don't get me wrong, I don't really think that you have thaat much experience with it from what I've seen from you so far. Don't get me wrong, that's just what I think.

Like I said, you should start coloring without the tablet at first, if you fail at that - I wouldn't get a tablet.

And the tablet, it's basically like a piece of paper. You have to imagine that area as a sheet of paper, nothing more.

What else? Nothing, you can use it to draw stuff & use handwriting recognition on Windows.

And btw. The Stylus is the Pen itself, it's the name of it.

Its hard to show experience though when your trying out something new or doing it for the first time.... I made I think two Avatars and one Signature.... And I know its bad, I just need to look at Tutorials like you said from Devianart but I haven't yet been busy with Photography since I'm finishing it up soon in a few days....

But thanks though, I will probally try out coloring a Page later, and End up Posting it on NarutoBase. If I did good I might buy one....
I was thinking about getting this though since it had the Screen Display

But then again I might just start out with the Tablet you have or the Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch S like mentioned above....
Its better to start off Basic and work up Right?

Exactly, I would say that it's better to start off basic and work up. Because, it could always happen that you end up not liking the tablet and then you spent a lot of money for an expensive one.

So, seems like you have enough money; Then you should spend those 80$ for a Wacom Bamboo and try it out for a month or maybe two and if you really like it - and still think you would need a bigger one; Go for it.

Im probably getting the Intuos4 as well. . .

. . .

. . .

. . .

. . .

when I get enough money. :(
But I'll wait another 6 or 7 months before that, because I wanted to switch a year after I bought my Bamboo Pen.

Intuos4 tablets are a bit more professional type.
One with screen display costs around 700$.
Small or Medium is good enough to do everything you want.

Bigger is not necessarily better. For home users and hobbyists, the most common sizes are 4" by 5" and 6" by 8". CAD users, artists, and technical illustrators may desire a larger surface area, but the price escalates as the size increases. Remember, the larger your tablet surface is, the more you will need to move your arms. Many people prefer a smaller tablet to minimize arm motion. However, this may feel unnatural to an artist who is used to drawing or painting with large sweeping motions. Another important thing to know about tablet size is that the dimensions given almost always refer to the input surface area of the tablet. The actual footprint of the tablet can be as much as 4 to 5 inches larger than the input area. Keep this in mind as you shop, or you may be surprised that your tablet takes up much more desktop space than you may have considered. My 6" by 8" Wacom Intuos tablet, for instance, has a footprint of 10" by 13.5".

And don't expect to do everything magically perfect, it needs practice too ;P

Well, if you aren't using a tablet - You should use the Pen-Tool to shade.

I haven't tried Pen tool yet. I did it with the Brush Tool from what she was teaching... And it was coming out stupid. I'll give the Pen Tool a Shotxd

I have a pretty cheap tablet, I guess it was about 40$ but it works fine imo, I have no problems with it at all.
But to be honest, if I decide to color something, I still do it with mouse xd

but ofcourse, it is awesome for drawing

That's the thing, Brushes don't work since everyone uses Pen Pressure on it. That doesn't work with a mouse.

I actually hate Mouses now, I can't even use one with Photoshop...
I'm so hooked onto the Trackpad on my Laptop if I use a Mouse it messes up my work...

I shall Use a Pen Tool and Manga Color tomorrow...
Thanks to the Tutorials you gave me xd
