1. We are bankrupt of our own accord. We never really bounced back from the great depression, and we're just now experiencing the effects. The boom and the bust cycle my friend.
2. Sure, the US is behind in green energy. Though don't blame that on the average person. Our government is still relying on fossile fuels because they aren't very costly. The US doesn't have a lot of money right now, and one of the areas being cut is energy research.
3. Sure, a ton of people think that. But they aren't properly educated. The US did play a big role, however the soviets are what saved us. I don't think that can be denied by an educated person.
4. I can't speak here, as I've never come across this.

Sure, I find a lot of Americans who feel America is the best. But to be fair, nationalism is in EVERY country.
