Being one with the wind (feat. Xylon)

I'm waiting on a grassy field with very few characteristics about it. There's a serene river in the distance, and a forest not too far from the location. It's quiet and windy, a perfect spot for wind training.

*whistles* Ready whenever you are Xylon-sensei.

As I see Mr. Xylon-sensei galloping into the field with his Suicune, I am in awe, and then I am shocked and enraged a little bit with jealousy because I want one.

Look Mr. Xylon-sensei, I know Suicune's meant to be the wind spirit and all, but is riding in on one really necessary!?

Sure thing Mr. Xylon-sensei!

Futon, otherwise known as Wind Release is one of the five basic elements in this world. We can grasp the wind easily if we try to sharpen our chakra and to make it as thin as possible. Because of this, we can infuse our Wind Chakra into weapons like Kunai to make them sharper and more precise when thrown. Wind-based Jutsu is also more appropriate for short-mid range attacks so that it is much easier to control the sharpness of the wind, and so you can slash through your opponents with it.

Wind is naturally strong against Lightning-based attacks, since it is a natural insulator. Also, it is weak against Fire-based attacks since wind can act like a fuelling agent for the fire, and it spreads faster. Wind is also used for other aspects of Jutsu, such as making Ice, which is really only needed for members of the Yuki clan, and also used for Dust Release, which is mostly used by Onoki, the Third Tsuchikage.

When I am handed the piece of paper, I begin to hold it firmly in my hands. From there I begin to try and push my own chakra into the paper while thinking of the elements of wind itself. I can feel the breeze in the air, and I begin to think about that, as well as how thin and sharp it is. After a little while of pushing my chakra through the paper I start to notice a change in it. The paper starts to tear in half. This shows I'm destined for using Wind Nature or something idk.

After receiving the leaf from you I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing since you never explained it to me. But since I'm an avid fan of that "Naruto" series and he's done this before I'll just imitate him. :3 I start off by sitting down in a meditation position. First of all I try to imagine my chakra as it is. From there I begin to imagine what the wind would be like with my chakra, so I picture my chakra as thin and sharp as possible. After that I put pressure on the leaf between my palms and try to push my Wind Chakra through it to form a rip, like the paper from earlier. After quite some time trying this I managed to get a small rip in the leaf, but I don't think it would be near enough to impress him.

Xylon-sensei, I'm having a little difficulty with focusing my wind chakra. Do you have any advice for me?

After heeding your ever-so-wise words of wisdom of how I can improve my training, I begin to sit down and propagate my wind chakra again, thinking about how it should be thin and sickly. After concentrating again for a while, I feel like I'm ready to take the leaf by the uhh... horns and push my wind chakra through it to create a rip in it. After concentrating on the leaf for so long, I can start to feel something manifesting in between my palms. I open my palms to see the leaf which I had tried to rip, but this time I had succeeded in the tearing of the leaf. I take a sigh of relief now that we can move on to something more exciting.

I show Xylon the leaf, torn into two seperate pieces.

I'm done ripping the leaf, Xylon-sensei! So what's next on the agenda?

After taking your Kunai, I know exactly what to do because I'm a total mind reader. xD What I'm assuming you expect me to do is enhance this kunai you just gave me with my wind chakra in order to penetrate the tree when I throw it at it, so I begin to prepare. Picturing my wind chakra at it's thinnest and sharpest, my body is now ready. I start to infuse my chakra with the kunai you've given me and throw it at the closest tree which is a good 10m away. From throwing it I've noticed it's become so much faster and aerodynamic than usual. As I'm admiring the kunai though, it flies through the tree and into a rock which is stationed behind a tree.

I run over to inspect the tree and can see right through a hole in the tree. It seems like that was the hole I've created from throwing my kunai at it, all thanks to the wind chakra. I look over to you, and seem to get your approval from your nodding at me, and get the impression we can move onto the next phase.

Tch... Fine then, work me to the bone.

I begin to harness some more wind chakra into myself, in preparation for expelling it again from my arms. After gathering quite the amount needed, which I will need considering the amount of trees in the area I begin to focus it towards my arms. After that, I thrust my arm towards the first tree and expel the wind through my Tenketsu and blow all the leaves off the tree. I repeat this process a few times until it's all completed.

After everything's been done with this I'm practically out of breath and just tired from blowing so much wind from the trees.

*huff huff* Whew, someone's gonna need to clean up all those leaves, wouldn't you agree Xylon-sensei?
