1. I never start flame wars, I state manga facts which sometimes were false and proven to be false by some people and I thanked them for correcting me and changed my views.

Thats one of the few good reasons, but Itachi would till beat Nagato, since he can't counter Tsukuyomi and he can't counter Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror. CT is his only chance which can get sealed by Sword of Totsuka and MIGHT get destroyed by multiple Yagata's Masaka.
If people can prove to me that Sword of Totsuka can't seal CT and Nagato could counter Tsukyomi... then I will say it is draw/could go both ways (50%-50%).

Shikimaru was defeated in their group fight vs Kakuz and Hidan and he lost in chuunin exam vs that wind girl right? not sure, might be wrong, I think he lost, but he could have won aswell. :shrug:

Kabuto could have left Nagato the way Itachi, Zabuza, Deidara, and all other preceding edos had been previously. That is. On combat autopilot but with control over intelligent technique-choice.

What's more. Nagato had never been rejuvenated in life despite having access to tailed beasts. Kabuto was smarter. Kabuto, with Nagato's power, was more powerful than Nagato ever was.
