itachis a tactician but nagatos a militant he came up with a plan controlling six bodies at once and they all decimated a while village single handily how can he utilize his skills when kabuto underestimating his opponents and not making his full use of his abilities it was kabuto who made nagatos handicap a big deal giving itachi advantage otherwise excluding the SOTSP theirs no shinobi nagato couldn't take on.

Itachi is able to hit people with the sword because he doesn't spam it in every fight. He only uses it when he know he will get the hit. So we will never know the speed of Totsuka, but it does not really matter because if we see it, it will work.

I honestly think Nagato would win as the Six Paths of Pain, controlling them instead of using his own body.

I don't care about retarded "this could happen" scenario's. If we go by that logic a Sword of Totsuka and Tsukuyomi Genjutsu right away would have defeated Nagato.

I avoid "What if" scenarios and focus on what happend in the manga:

Itachi Saves Naruto and Bee
Itachi tells them what to do
Itachi teaches Naruto a lesson about Shinobi combat in the middle of CT going off lol
Itachi 1 Shots Nagato and seals him
Itachi didn't get hit 1 time

If you are truly a manga fanboy then start acting like one. Outright rejecting arguments from one side claiming NFIDS is making an strawman argument.

Secondly both sides are equally fanatic when it comes to their favourite character. Oversimplification of your opponant's positions is akin to absurdity.

Fact 1: Nagato didn't fight. He was used as a weapon BY Kabuto and it was Kabuto VS Itachi fight.

Fact 2: All the edo's in full control are limited by the capabilities of Kabuto- If Kabuto doesn't know what to do next, Edo won't do waht to do next.

Fact 3: Nagato was in full control when he fought Itachi and didn't do anything to fight any of the trio on his own.

Fact 4: Kishi made sure that the message is conveyed who is really fighting when he showed us Kabuto cursing after Nagato getting sealed.

Fact 5: We never got to see a a fight between Nagato and Itachi under circumstance- we just found out about the abilities of sharingan and rinnegan.

Nagato has already tought Naruto what he had to - he made him think beyond the personal goal of becoming a hokage. He had done hs bit for Konoha for Jiraiya and Naruto's sake when he sacrificed himself reviving KOnoha. He has no obligation as a shinobi dead or alive towards Konoha at this point.

Before anyone starts again about Itachi getting free of Kabuto's control and having a back up plan- Well it was his village and his brother for which he had thought about a back up strategy. And it was an accidental benefit he recived.

MInd you I did not point this out to pull Itachi down. Just reminding the exact circumstances to put things in perspective.


Itachi called himself a failure, Nagato did too. I don't think either were of them a failure - Both of them were highly talented and powerful but inexperience and sort of lost in the mess created by the war. Both wanted to achieve and maintain peace- tried to find solution without guidance- ended up with the masked guy Tobi.


The two extra ordinary shinobis were used and wasted by Tobi who now get abused from their fans from both sides.U_U

itachi can defeat nagato (not in strength but in any real life battle)

consider u have normal spoon and a soup spoon... what would u prefer to use for eating... obv u ll prefer normal spoon but it doesnt mean u dont have the ability to eat with the soup spoon...(just kidding)..... same is the case with itachi taking help from bee n naruto... itachi can easily defeat nagato in that battle but he asked the jinchurikis to do something coz it was easier that way....

Even without having the Six Paths in separate bodies, Nagato can still take advantage of the Rinnegan's shared vision by bringing Animal Realm's summons onto the field. However, Itachi's fight with the Edo Tensei Nagato showed that he can negate this advantage by blinding the summons with simple projectile weapons.

Deva Path's powers, collectively, are probably the most powerful weapons Nagato possesses. But these too can be countered by Itachi. We've seen that Susano'o is capable of grabbing people, which means that it should be able to hold onto Itachi and anchor him against Bansho Tenin and even Chibaku Tensei's gravitational pull.

Aside from Deva, Asura Path is probably the most destructive of Nagato's "avatars". However, the defense of Susano'o will stop missiles and lasers cold.

Susanoo can't grab Itachi when he's out of Susanoo, when Madara was dragged out of his Susanoo it just faded away and a faded Susanoo cant stop missiles. Nagato wont just stand there as his summons are being blinded.
