was wondering since sai was supposed to eliminate sasuke accoeding to danzo
is he really tht strong i mean he was the part of root but how strong is heis he on naruto and sasuke level

Actually Sai has not been given enough spotlight by kishi. Recently, he helped take down both Sasori and Deidara (fairly strong characters), and he has a lot of potential.
He has root sealing techs, plus his paint drawings which come to life. He's probably one of the most promising/under developed characters along with Maito guy.

Sai did not help Take down sasori and deidara. Sasuke took down deidara. Chiyo and sakura took down sasori.
