New Shinobis vs Old shinobis Who is better and more skilled

Normally successors are suppose to be better and more skilled than their predecessors, but in this case the older generation of shinobi are way stronger or let me say ten life time stronger and even more skilled than the new generation shinobi, or is it just kishi's way of hyping the older generation shinobi

So who is stronger and more skilled,
Is it the Older Shinobi, or
The New Generation Ninjas

"new generation surpasses the old" only holds true to konoha as it is their underlying teaching as far as i can tell
in the other villages the older generation seems to be better

Depends on the generation being compared.

What i do believe is that, its hard for the new strong generation(naruto & sasuke) to surpass the previous strong generation (hashirama, madara, tobirama).

But the new generation overall will always produce stronger ninja's than the previous generation. There are alot more stronger ninajs in the current generation than the previous

Matching up different persons from the previous generation with the new one won't always result in 100% chance of the new generation to win, but this has nothing to do with the whole new/old thing but more with the shynobis you put against each other.

Depends on 1 by 1 match up. Some are better but some are not. Old generation wins to me though

I think the new generation surpasses the old concept only implies to naruto and sasuke xd

No , those considered "legends " weren't beaten by "kids". They were beaten mostly by kages and naruto :flaw:

New = Multiple Ninja who already know the Old's ability and weakness
Old = Singular, has no idea about the abilites of the New or weakness

Remember in the on going 4th ninja war, it took 5 kages to be able to stand a chance against madara, it took onoki and gaara to take down half of muu, it took gaara and the entire squad to bring down Mr. no eye brow of the mist, and naruto with the hachibi's experience to bring down the former raikage, so how better is the new generations compared to the formidable and all powerful old generation shinobi. their skills are better, their movement are faster, and they are more stronger.
anyway that is my thought,
so i say the old shinobi are stronger than Naruto and the rest

The new generation is still learning and growing. The Old Generation was like in their 60's or 40's which have omfg knowledge of jutsus by then.

I mean konoha 11 had not surpassed their predesscessors yet!!

2nd mizukage was beaten by garra + onnoki + a squad!
1 old kage needs 2 kages + other ninjas to defeat!
Hence , 1 old kage is worth 2 new kages

Muu needed 2 kages + Naruto to be defeated!
1 old shinobi is worth 2 kages or more shinobi

3rd raikage needed Bee + Hachibi + Naruto
3rd raikage is worth 2 kage level shinobi + one tailed beast

Madara= harashima
Madara is soloing 5 kages and is holding his ground
harashima is worth 5 kages
Madara is worth 5 kages

Guys please don't get me wrong, i did not say who will win in a bout or the on going 4th ninja war, what am asking who is stronger and more skilled?

1. The Older generation
2. The Younger and new generation
