It's pretty obvious a final battle will occur some way or another between Sasuke and Naruto. Now, would it not be interesting or awesome if some of the Konoha 11 would help out in some way? Sort of like the Rurouni Kenshin vs Shishio Makoto battle. 
For example, Naruto and Sauske begin battling and for some reason Naruto finds himself in a very difficult situation where he needs time to recover and re-think his strategies (or Naruto starts out losing or whatever). Then, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Neji and Kiba show up and try to aid Naruto in his battle (Since they all wanted to kill Sasuke at some point). They ultimately fail and either hurt Sasuke a little or just bought time for Naruto. (Some can even die or get seriously injured to psychologically "pump" up Naruto and get him real mad). I just wanted to share this idea of how the battle would develop. Please share your thoughts, comments and ideas! Feel free to add any other suggestion as to how the battle can develop!
Reminder: The Konoha 11 (if they help) will ultimately FAIL, the shinobi who help will either die or get hurt badly. The purpose of attempting to help Naruto would be to:
1) Provide evidence that Naruto and Sasuke (eh..) are way out of their league
2) Make it evident (for us) that the battle between Naruto and Sasuke has to be carried out solely between them (the real battle would not be affected because the Konoha 11 would not hurt Sasuke or actually "help" Naruto in any way)
3) Show that even though Naruto specifically told them not to intervene, true friends see past one's selfish requests and always try to help (i.e. Hinata in the battle against Pain)
4) Entertain
