Why has Neji been excluded in Shipuuden?

As you can see, I really liked Neji in the original series..but for some reason, when Shipuuden started airing he was shown very little..And as Shipuuden progresses he seems a bit useless. Thoughts?

The Manga is focus on Naruto, Kakashi, Saskura, and Sasuke, while the Anime is focus on the other characters such as Shino, Tsunade, Hinata, Kiba, Rock Lee, ect.

Neji's main role peaked in the sasuke revival arc. Honestly, I wish he got more shine, Hinata got cooler ninjutsu. However, it looks like neji kinda just got a rehashed upgraded version of his stuff from part 1

Yeah I know! Hinata got those twin lion fists while Neji just got some Air Release which they don't show at all.. Main Branch always gets the good stuff

Well, he did have a important role to play in one of the shippuden movies, but I can't say for sure. I guess he was shown as a barrier for naruto to get over in the original series :shrug:

Who knows man, I mean Neji is a genious, he figured out Rotation on his own, and that technique belongs exclusively to the main family, maybe he figures out more techniques, cooler techniques, that belongs to the main family and not the branch family, and besides, it's been said that Neji is the most gifted Hyuga of both families, main and branch family

Well..not exactly..Shikamaru and Gaara are major supporters for the series. They haven't been excluded at all. Kiba and Hinata have also been shown quite often. As for the others, there have been separate (possibly) filler episodes dedicated to a certain story of them. And most of them have participated in group missions like Konoha 11 and such. :flaw:

Yeah, and Neji is a jonin while the others are chunin. Yes gaara is a kage, but I'm mainly talking about the konoha 11

I've been wondering this same question for about 2 years now. They should have let Neji face Hizashi instead of Hiashi, but even that fight is going unshown. It bothers me because Neji has so much strength, intelligence, and potential, but due to lack of screentime in shippuden, alot of people think little of him.

My Thoughts: Like another poster said. Neji was an obstacle for naruto to overcome in the Chunin exams. In the Sasuke retrieval arc I believe it was show how powerful Neji really was and also to show how naruto can affect other characters emotionally and change them for the better. I do hope that Neji makes a comeback in this war and plays some sort of major role somewhere.
