Seriously Itachi CANT win. Obviously the fight is going to have some juice, otherwise it would be pointless to pit them against each others those who said that Kabuto is going to destroy Itachi's face while it would be pleasing it wont happen, however Itachi cant win.

Why? Because his goal is to stop edo tensei, killing Kabuto wont do it, he has to release the technique and the momment it is releasd its gone. Remember Itachi is still an edo tensei, he isnt freed, he is merely under Kotoamatsukami influence which by his own admission is a jutsu on top of edo tensei in short, edo tensei still affects Itachi its just that Kotoamatsukami is acting on top of it.

I think Itachi will succeed at stopping edo tensei, perhaps after a very close fight between Kabuto and Itachi, where Kabuto will demonstrate he has surpassed his master by doing the thing his master could not, defeat Itachi.

Itachi cant win because the momment edo tensei is gone, he is gone too, as simply as that.

So Itachi most likely will succeed in ending edo tensei, but he wont kill Kabuto, he wont be able to, he will be gone the momment the technique is ended. Remember Kabuto still have tricks under his sleve, like "that" jutsu which has been hinted to be equally or more dangerous than edo tensei, you know the technique that is summoning Madara.

But Itachi has plot no jutsu on his side.

Itachi can't lose because he's incapable of losing. It's the self fulfilling prophecy of being a terrible character like Itachi.

So you're saying that Itachi can't win because the moment he deals the killing blow, Edo Tensei will drop?
Wouldn't Kabuto still die?

I don't he is going to win but it is a possibility. Winning and losing are too hard to define in this situation anyway...

Itachi cant win, tell me how he is going to survive when his plan is killing himself. Itachi cant kill Kabuto because the momment edo tensei ends Itachi is dimissed, he cant kill Kabuto because otherwise edo tensei isnt ended.

Edo goes on despite the conjurer of the jutsu being killed.

We could... Unfortunately... Have a zombie Itachi around forever.

There is no killing blow, this is why he cant win. KILLING THE CASTER DOESNT END THE TECHNIQUE, it has been stated multiple times, the method of ending edo tensei isnt killing the caster but placing the casted under a genjutsu to make them release the technique. The momment the technique is released, Itachi is dimissed, he cant kill Kabuto even if he could he would have to choose between either kill Kabuto or end edo tensei since you cant genjutsu a dead person and he cant proceed to kill Kabuto after ending the technique because Itachi will be gone, and Itachi already chose to end edo tensei.

Defeating Kabuto and ending edo tensei are 2 mutually exclusive scenarios, I mean there is a .00000000000000000000000000001% chance Itachi does win but it would have to be a troll on the level of setting a trap so that after Kabuto release the technique he dies, but it would be too trollish, it would have to be a fight totally on sided for Itachi for this to occur.

A .000000000000000000000000001% chance you say? Well have no fear, Itachi will magically be able to do it.

Kishi will make it so.

Actually
ending edo tensei=winning
So it doesn't really matter if he beats Kabuto...

these.

also, Itachi is literally invincible; if he wanted to, he could kill Kabutomaru and stay like that forever.

I'm curious...

Does no one else find it lame that-

A) Itachi was brought back from the dead
B) He got freed from Edo Tensei (Lol, Kishi)
C) He'll go stop Edo Tensei most likely
D) He'll never get beaten

Hell, even the main character, Naruto loses sometimes (Sasuke fight) and the second main character, Sasuke, got his ass beat by Kages.

But Itachi? No, he's super god of all things that can win in any situation.
