just to confirm what pain said, more people follow Naruto in the western world, here in Jamaica most people prefer naruto over every other Japanese manga, when you go to the arcades people are playing naruto video games, at my college when i hear people arguing its over which character in Naruto is better (not which character in OP) in fact i only remember one OP fanboy at my college.

i can't say about the US or Canada, but it seems its the same being that the most aired Japanese series on cable is Naruto and not OP, seems OP is mostly famous in Europe and Asia.

This is true.. in US the only animes that are most known and that is on air is Naruto and Bleach never seen One Piece..

isn't it quite simple both OP and Naruto have been aired on American cable, people in the western world just seem to like Naruto more, trust me they do i'm from the Jamaica and the only Japanese anime people talk about here is Naruto. Naruto gets more exposure outside Japan compared to One Piece.

General Consensus is that Naruto is more Popular outside Japan, that is agreeable but it isn't better.
But OP makes more money in/out of Japan compared to Naruto.
Statistics aren't bullshit bro.

actually OP was being aired on toonami in 2007/6 i think it got replaced by Bakugan. however it was a epic fail because 4kids was dubbing it, the characters were given childish voices and the story line was change a bit to suit the licence, for e.g. sanji's cigarette was replaced by a lollipop xd. then funimation took it over and started to dub it better. but Cartoon network stop airing it, they even dropped naruto despite the massive ratings it was receiving.

ok here are the facts,

1. OP makes the most sales/money overall.
2. OP consumers are mostly people from Asia
3. Bleach makes more sales/money than OP in the western world (as in north america, and the Caribbean)
4. Fullmetal Alchemist makes more sales/money than OP in the western world
5. naruto makes the MOST sales/money in the western world

those are facts don't believe me check ICv2 news, so again people here prefer Naruto people in asia and Europe prefer OP
