Honestly i used to hate OP back when i was an anime only kinda kid, mostly due to the terrible 4kids dub, after watching 2-3 episodes i never wanted to see anything more ever again, but when i heard funimation bought out the rights i gave it a second chance, and after watching past a few of the introduction arc's which were all basically the same luffy meets person person refuses to join luffy beats up bad guy, person joins crew away to next member. I was willing to atleast look at the manga and after the whole introduction arc thing the show really picked up. As of now I"m currently up to date on OP and naruto, and if i had to pick one it'd be naruto mostly due to the fact that as of now the show is really picking up and comeing to a climatic finale that i don't wanna miss it.

Each character gets attention...
better perviness and echhi
Every character know what his life's goal is...
More villains,more epic battles...
There isn't need to say many times"he is genius in generations..blah blah".characters prove it themselves
More mystery...more drama...more funny...more action...

Main character Naruto doesn't even know what is his true goal...hokage or sasuke

Average storyline....

"Naruto " has interesting story concept but it got ruined over sasuke bitch...
One piece has interesting concept and it keeps getting better......
There is whole light year distance between their awesomeness.
one piece is ahead in every way....

well i wasn't really a comic/anime person to begin with, the only two anime's that a followed when i was a kid were DBZ and YuYu Hakusho. other manga's didn't interest me at all. the first time i saw Naruto i thought it was rubbish, and didn't watch it again until a year later when they were showing marathon's of it on Cartoon network. i watched like 20 episodes back after back that day and really got into, i loved the concept of chakra, jutsu's, different ranks of ninja's and just the whole concepts of the series. after that naruto became a apart of me like an harm, i followed it ever since.

i had a similar experience with OP only this time i watched 20 episodes and still thought it was rubbish, the whole pirates concept was silly to me, the drawing was horrific, the fights was too straight forward. then i stop watching it and didn't watch again until just the other day (like 4 years later), i watched like 40 more episode it really got interesting no doubt a very good series, its better than Naruto manga wise being it covers more real life issue's such as slavery and so forth. but it was just not for me, i prefer the ninja concept more, chakra, jutsu's and etc. in my opinion naruto is more mature than OP not saying that OP is childish either. i like the whole layout, i like how the fights are unpredictable, every move is justified, every character has his or her limit. the moves in OP sometimes look so cheesy.

so yeah OP is better manga wise, but i prefer Naruto more, just a preference.

On NarutoBase, there are no die hard fans of One Piece that choose to only watch One Piece and neglect watching Naruto at all. Every die hard fan of One Piece on NB were once a die hard fan of Naruto, then they started watching One Piece and became die hard fan of One Piece. Doesn't mean that they are no longer fans of Naruto, they are just bigger fans of One Piece.

Yes, Tobi isn't Obito and Naruto isn't better than One Piece.

Actually, that entire first part wasn't an opinion at all since its true....we were all mostly just Naruto fans, but unlike others, we weren't scared to watch another hyped anime just because of how it looks and our dumb opinions of Pirates.
