Well i read the manga and my brother straight away said Ukitake is a D*** but i really don't think so he did seem like a nice person even when Ichigo wasn't there. And every body new so if he was mean he would have been mean then right??

I think it's Yamamoto's fault, I reckon he would have had Ichigo/substitute soulreapers killed because they pose a possible threat to the ss. But because Ukitake said he would restrict their power and stop them them from being a threat so that Yamamoto would allow them to live..

well that's just what I think yeah say what you think if there's any bleach readers :y

I think the badge was just used as a precaution as the above poster said you can't have people with captain class reijatsu run around the world of the living can't we(like they do with captains and VC they have 90% of their rei sealed off if i remember correctly xD).Ichigo isn't a member of the Gotei so it's only natural that they would want to keep an eye on him and also to have some sort of control over him.Ukitake is still the good guy here Ginjo is just trying to make it sound different to how it really is that's why he's gonna get lolBankai blitzed next chapter(HopefullyxD)

Ginjo is probably half right.
Ukitake did do that but not in anyway to harm Ichigo, it's for his own safety, it's not like he's trying to kill him or anything. U_U I have a feeling Ukitake, Urahara and Isshin are involved in this.

He's not trolling that much, Ukitake was the one who gave Ichigo the badge in the first place. I thought it was strange that he gave it to Ichigo instead of someone he knew better.

Ukitake is in no way taking up the mantle of the next Aizen...

First of all, everyone knew. Along with Rukia, Renji and the other Lieutenants. Even Urahara and Isshin. They were all in on it.

Second, what Ukitake did does not hurt Ichigo in any way.

The fact that even Isshin knew of this could mean that Soul Society was protecting Ichigo. I posted this in another thread, but my theory is that it has something to do with Ichigo's bloodline and family background. This whole arc began with Ginjo bringing up Ichigo's dad

Soul Society is indebted to him ever since he defeated Aizen. Yamamoto says this as well. It's the reason he agreed to Urahara's white sword

I just read it thanks. ^^ Yeah, it does seem kind of shady that Ukitake gave that to him, but I dunno...there's just not enough evidence to say that Ukitake is going to become the new antagonist.
