Does anyone know who kishina's mother is? it's clear that naruto and tsunade are relative's(most likely distant), but how? are they distant cousin's?

Simple. Kushina's mother is Naruto's grandmother =DD

LOL Kidding. Hasn't been revealed, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mito was Kushina's grandmother :/

Haha. xd i was thinking the same actually. Either that or her mother, because maybe Mito died before Hashirama and he remarried. Ugh, the possibilities! it's so misleading. U_U

Kushina's mother hasn't been revealed yet.

Once again Talk no jutsu has the most accurate reply.
But yeah I wondered the same thing for awhile now. At least I think Tsunade would know she is older than Kushina right? and has been in the village for awhile.

I hope so. I've been lost in wonder ever since i read about Naruto meeting his mother.

True, true.
It would also make sense as to why Naruto can sense negative emotions, just like Mito could. A feature that skipped a few generations isn't so ridiculous :D

I guess not. lol. i really think Mito is his grandmother. My only speculation is that she has the diamond on her forehead like Tsunde. Btw do you know when the next manga is going to come out? it didnt come out this thursday like it usually does, and still hasnt. im beginning to get sad. :(

Actually, Mito couldn't be Kushina's mother otherwise, kushina would've explained it herself that she was. Kushina was chosen from the land of whirlpools to become jinchuuriki while Mito was still in land of fire.

Actually, Naruto was only able to unlock it when took full control of the ninetails. While it isn't known whether or not Mito had full control over the ninetails, she had lived with it long enough to have some form of control over it as she said the only way to counter the ninetails hate was with love. It is also known that Kushina never fully controlled the ninetails herself, so the ability may be just a jinchurriki power.

What you state is correct, and these thing's have crossed my mind. i simply got thrown out of wack when Kushina referred Mito as her "predecessor". it could mean nothing really, and probably doesnt. It was just a very curious subject for me.
