Im not sure, it can go either way tbh.
Also as we saw a weakened kisame tanked morning peacock and afternoon tiger and still had energy to spare. If kakuzu can harden his body i dont see any of gai's tech doing much damage considering he also has to kill him 5 times.

Ummm I'm sorry Gai wouldn't beat Kakuzu..and Kisame with his sword would suckup is chakra......But back to the matter at Hand Gai is going up against somebody Kakashi can't beat he wouldn't do much better, Fire,Wind,Earth,Lighting,Water.....All A-Class jutsu with wide ranges.....Kisame was still alive after Gai's Afternoon Tiger and even busted outta Yamato's wood release after. Gai just won't win I don't see why I need to explain he can't take out enough hearts before he gets hit wit a painful jutsu =.
