the dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the Hyūga clan. It is one of the Three Great Dōjutsu along with the Sharingan and the Rinnegan.
The Byakugan's abilities have left it highly coveted by the other villages, as evidenced by Kumogakure's attempt to steal it during the Hyūga Affair. Ao of Kirigakure was able to obtain a single Byakugan from a Hyūga he defeated, and goes to great lengths to protect it. At the same time, Danzō Shimura went to equal lengths to retrieve or destroy it. Unlike a transplanted Sharingan, a transplanted Byakugan can be activated and deactivated at will
It has been said that the Sharingan was somehow derived from the Hyūga clan's Byakugan.
The Byakugan is said to have the greatest vision and insights amongst all dōjutsu.
My point is that during the chunin exams arc byakugan received a lot of attention ..but after that or in shipudden we see byakugan very less. hinata or neji who r byakugan users r very weak as compared to sharingan users .. sharingan or ms has a lot of s-rank jutsus whereas byakugan has a-rank jutsus ....byakugan users r more prefrrd for sensor types
so is byakugan underrated ???or sharingan overrated ???
