As its been said it was the senju who approached the uchiha with a peace treaty. Obviously both sides were feeling the effects of the war, but clearly the senju mustve been feeling it more if they wanted a peace treaty.

Not saying that there are other Senjus that have power to rival EMS uchiha, but they all have the potential to grow that strong without sacrificing their clansmen, however uchiha's need to kill at least 3 in order to gain an EMS, and one of those being an MS user.

What sasuke meant by select few is that, only those who have been in a life and death situation. You do realise that not all the clan members were ninja's therefore not all of them wouldve been in a life and death situation.

If sasuke had never been in a life or death situation he also wouldnt have been able to awaken it aswell.

Senju were the ones who wanted peace because they were gonna get their ass whooped. Madara knew this too and if the battle continued Uchiha would have f***ed Senju badly as soon as Itachi Uchiha would be born, also Sasuke Uchiha. So, Uchiha would kill the Senju.

Itachi and Sasuke were born 70 years (65 years for itachi) after the war so the war would most likely be over by now. The Uzumaki clan would join the Senju and strengthen their overall power with their sealing jutsus plus they can wait until Naruto is born plus Minato will be there. Minato is the fastest ninja (besides Naruto KM) stated by the Raikage. Both Senjus and Uchihas aren't only Senju and Uchihas, they're also made from other clams that they joined forceswith (Senju) or conquered (Uchiha) which where clans that are currently in the present Konoha. The Sarutobi clan was without a doubt with the Senju with their close ties and the 3rd hokage was called professor for knowing over 1000 jutsus. Sasuke wouldn't have EMS if Itachi is alive, Sage mode Naruto was confirm to be stronger by Zetsu so yeah. 1st Hokage, 2nd Hokage, 3rd hokage, 4th hokage, 5th hokage, kushina, asuma, Naruto, Jiraiya, Nagato, shikamaru's clan, choji's clan, Ino clan, Uzumaki's clan are all have ties to the Senju clan.

Naruto has control over the 9 tails chakra and currently the fastest ninja in the world, the 1st Hokage could control all tailed beasts, the 2nd hokage had Edo Tensi (sp?) and S/P jutsu, Tsunade has incredible Strenght and is the greatest medical ninja in the world, kushina has a rare chakra (lots of it), taught Minato everything he knows about sealing jutsus, Mito sealed the 9 tails inside herself and had the ability to sense evil intent like Naruto so Mito had to of had control like Naruto. Madara and Itachi are edos so they can be sealed by Mito and Kushina's powerful sealing jutsus. If madara and Itachi were alive then in a battle against the 1st and Naruto the the Senju team would win simply with the fact that Itachi would be suffering the effects from using his MS. Naruto shadow clones are powerful (KM) and will do wonders in a fight.

I would have to go with the Senju. For one reason, allies. The Uchiha have always kind of been loners, staying to themselves. However, the Senju clan have branched out to other clans, asking for peace and creating a friendship. Through having allies, they now have someone to have their back, have someone to fight for and someone to fight for them. Strength in numbers will always beat strength in skill.

Now before you say "I'm not talking about other clans" it is an asset to consider in someones strength before attacking them. Otherwise one on one, they are dead even.
