I guess I am going to have to go and apologize to Stephanie Meyer, author of the Twilight book series. Her books are on the best seller list for young adults. Problem is that they are written on a 6th grade level. Not that they are of a 6th grade reading level, more that they were written as if a 6th grader wrote them.
My mistake though, because she sells her books to depressed teenage girls who fantasize about the life they wish they could have with their vampire lover, it must mean that she is talented, not just that she is tapping into a demographic usually reserved for adolescent versions of romance novels.
No plot + poor writing + ambiguous female lead character which is easily imagined and personified by the lonely female reader = talent.
Same thing goes for Justin Bieber. Same age group, same retarded people, same talentless slob selling out to make money.
