Great Chapter!
A few things I wanted to point out and say how much I enjoyed.
1.) Madara is confirmed evil. He mentions enjoying the sight of devastation, destruction, and death. Someone good would never enjoy that. I thought that was noteworthy.
2.) The Kyuubi would rather be stuck with Naruto than with Madara.
We already know that the Kyuubi is not a big fan of Naruto's. The Kyuubi has been Narutos captive for nearly 2 decades. They fought for domination in the temple and upon Naruto's victory the Kyuubi told him "I will never forgive you." He seems to be coming around to Naruto and he even cheered him on in this chapter. What is so horrible about being with Madara? Why would the Kyuubi prefer Naruto over Madara? If Madara like to do evil things and cause harm, I would say that lines up pretty well with what we know of the Kyuubi's desires as well. I would say they are a perfect match! Something is iffy here. There must be a particular reason the Kyuubi doesn't like Madara. I believe it has something to do with the fact that using the Sharingan, Madara can FORCE the Kyuubi to do his bidding.... sometimes that is even worse then being held captive...
3.) On a related note, I am really intrigued that Madara has a Summoning Jutsu for the Kyuubi...someone mentioned it earlier, and I totally agree. To me, thats a WOW.
4.) I am very impressed with Tsuchikage, he has earned my respect. Especially with his determination during this war. He will most likely die, as is being predicted by others, but I believe that he will do so in an epic way. He will go out like we've seen that older generation do from time to time. Chiyo-ba, Danzo, Jiraiya, Hiruzen, etc. If you live that long as a ninja, you have a lot of strength and heart. He just got crushed by a double meteor and yet he is sitting up after suffering mortal wounds and telling Naruto's clone that they will take it from here. That, to me, is impressive. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for his final moments. God Speed Onoki! Show Madara and Kabuto your way of the ninja!
5.) I realized while writing the last note that I have no idea what Jiraiya's familial name is... that is somewhat disturbing... does anyone know? In fact the entire sannin crew has only 1 name... that's just creepy.
6.) Im interested to see what Tsunade thinks she is going to do...she is powerful, but I'm not sure she will even have a chance to go do anything.
I believe that Tobi is close to his destination with his six jinchuuriki paths. I believe his destination to still be HQ where Hokage, Raikage and the others are stationed.
7.) We learned that Madara didn't die vs Hashirama, much as I expected. He most likely was defeated as he had been in the past. That time though, he probably managed to steal some Senju DNA. This is what I believe led him to develop the Rinnengan. The real mystery though, is if he didn't die vs Hashirama, then how DID he die??
8.) When he peeks inside his armor I imagine him seeing Hashirama's face on his chest...immediately afterwards he uses a wood technique...Kabuto had access to a White Zetsu, Yamato, and Hashirama DNA (maybe left over by Orochimaru). The chances are that Kabuto has surmised the same thing as all the rest of us... Uchiha + Senju DNA is an awesome combination!
9.) I found it entertaining when Madara asked Kabuto "Do you know OUR plan?" Kabuto's reply and followup are interesting indeed. "Not entirely" "What do you want to do?" Anyone else find it slightly strange that Kabuto is asking his own Edo Summon what they should do next? You'd think Kabuto would be giving the orders. I guess he trusts in Madara's judgement.
10.) There is an interesting detail Madara says that Mito was an Uzumaki.
We know that Tsunade is the grand daughter of the First Hokage, Hashirama. If he was married to Mito, then that means that Tsunade is part Senju and part Uzumaki heritage. Interesting indeed.
11.) Kabuto says "It would be easy to capture Naruto. Do you want to go grab the real one?" Madara replies no because he wants to try wood release...and yet Kabuto has stated that the reason for this conflict is to capture Naruto...if so, then why dance and screw around? If it's so easy, then why not go do it?
12.) I think that Kabuto is feeling WAY too high and mighty. Is he powerful? Oh god yes! But I think maybe he has forgotten that Itachi is out on the prowl. Before Itachi left us, he said "I'm gonna go take care of the Edo Tensei" I'm sure Itachi knows that Kabuto is responsible... and god help Kabuto when Itachi finds him! I had a prediction in my mind of itachi showing up at Kabuto's location and Kabuto summoning the Edo-Madara back to himself as defense vs Itachi. That would mean EdoMadara vs Itachi. That would be a hell of a battle. I believe that would be the first occasion we've seen where 2 Susanoo would fight each other.
13.) Someone else brought this up earlier... The Kyuubi says that he will give Naruto his Chakra... I am confused, I thought Naruto already had full access to the Kyuubi's entire chakra pool because of his victory and resealing in the temple. This evidence is contrary to that. An additional point to be made is that Naruto's CLONE is talking to the Kyuubi, and getting chakra from it. We've never really had to discuss this in the past, and I think it worth mentioning now...Also, my friend made an excellent point that just because the Naruto clone is out of chakra does not mean that the other clones, or the original are out of chakra. The power is split upon the casting, and when one runs out, the others don't necessarily. Its also nice to see how far along Naruto's clones have come. They used to dispel from a single hit from an enemy. Now they are participating in major battles and taking severe damage without dispelling, summoning even more clones from a clone, emptying their chakra pool without dispersing, and even more noteworthy, talking to the fox and accepting chakra from it.
14.) Kabuto on page 13 reiterates how he is in control of Edo-Madara and talks about using him effectively enough to control the battlefield. He also even shows his own surprise about how powerful of a tool Edo-Madara is. Even he is blown away, and he's the one that made it happen!
15.) This was discussed earlier....Kabuto and Edo-Madara's comments regarding Naruto and how impressive of a kid he is. They are both showing their appreciation of him and his strength. I think Edo-Madara expected that Wood Jutsu to kill the majority of the people left alive, and it might have, if not for Naruto's massive clone creation and Great Rasengan Barrage. That is epic that his clone stopped it. Naruto is the most powerful ninja on the battlefield currently, IMO.
