Shikamaru(smartest in naruto's generation) and others believe it is reasonable for sasuke to die. Just because he he may help with the war doesnt mean he doesnt deserve to die. It will be good to perhaps keep him alive but HE DESERVES TO DIE. Killing the samurai was his choice, he even told them to back off showing he made a decision.

Yup.The thing is that kishi invested too much time into the whole naruto saving sasuke thing,so i don't think it will come to that(sasuke coming back to konoha), unless tsunade dies and naruto becomes hokage.

Everything he done befor Itachi died was understandable.

But he chose to become the villan he is today because of his own selfish ways.

Shikamaru doesn't know that elders are the reason why Sasuke lost his parents, brother and everyone from the clan. If he knew this, he would understand Sasuke, because he knows what it's to lose someone. When Hidan killed Asuma, Shikamaru couldn't forgive him and wanted revenge.

They weren´t escorting him, they were threatning him to lose the match so their master won the bet or be killed if he comes out the victor, they clearly didn´t know who they were dealing with. You can´t compare that to sasukes situation where he clearly did everything completely by his own judgment.

He knew there was a bomb behind the door and he still walked forward and opened it, no one made him do it so if he gets ****ed for life, thrown in jail,tortured or even gets killed, it´s all his own fault.
