Personality: Holmes's is an extremely logical man. This single attribute defines a large part of Holmes's personality and as a person as a whole. He puts this logic into all of his life, including the way he converses and deals with other people, the result of which is often rude remarks. Holmes has been praised for his powers of deduction. By simply stringing together a few seemingly insignificant details, Holmes is able to figure out a great deal about a person.
On the whole, Holmes dislikes people, and is often considered to be an isolationist. Between missions, he is often known to stay locked up in his room for weeks on end, saying "There is nothing of interest, out there, on earth, at all." During these periods of isolation, he is often known to attempt to invent things, which would, in theory, aid him on his missions.

Background Info.
History: Holmes was born just inside Konoha into the main branch of the Hyuuga Clan. As Holmes was brought up, he learned the Byakugan and Jyuuken incredibly quickly. Perhaps more importantly, Holmes was a prodigy of intelligence. Although he was incredibly gifted in the mind, Holmes dealt with other people in a peculiar manner. Rather than be upfront and honest with people, he was quite manipulating and would never tell others of his true goals or motives.Village of Birth: Konohagakure

Background Info.
Holmes graduated the Ninja Academy at the age of 8 and was, like all Genin, assigned to a three man squad. Holmes disliked working with his squad, even going as far to call the jounin leading them a fool. He found the missions trivial and to be tasks that regular citizens should be accomplishing themselves. Despite this, however, all of the missions assigned to the team went quite smoothly, and Holmes and his team took the Chuunin Exam as soon as they could.
Naturally, Holmes passed the exam with little difficulty, although both of his team members failed and remained genin. It didn't take long for the village to realize that Holmes was better to be as a single unit, rather than trying to force him into working as a group with others. However, Holmse would often deviate from the original mission, and would pursue adventures on a whim, often abandoning the actual mission at hand. This habit often resulted in him being punished by the village.
After a time of completing missions, it became obvious what Holmes's specialty was. Mysteries. Holmes, using his extreme powers of deduction, was able to solve mysteries that baffled all else who attempted them quite easily.
After several years of this, he was assigned to be on a team with a man named Watson. Holmes was annoyed by the fact that he was now expected to cooperate with this man, and treated Watson with scorn. However, as the mission progressed, Holmes grew to be quite fond of Watson. He was a medical ninja and proved to be a useful and intelligent companion.
Even after the mission was completed, Holmes and Watson worked together very often, and became good friends. They would continue doing missions together for quite a while.

Powers of Deduction: Holmes, using his powers of deduction, is able quickly examine the details of a situation in order to quickly and easily come to incredibly accurate conclusions regarding techniques, tactics, and what the opponent is aiming to do.
