Despite what majority of people here says that Tobi is Madara's memory, body or whatever, I thinks it's just as far fetched as my theory.
Now, It's clearly stated on Chapter 520 pg 11 that in order for the impure world resurrection technique to work, the summoned soul should reside on the pure world, so it means that the person being summoned should be dead. And the only way for a soul to be in the pure world is through death.
Now, it's established that Madara is/has dead/died.
As to the guy declaring to be Madara named Tobi, it could be just a pretty lie just to mess with our heads and just focus on his statements that he is Madara. Very misleading indeed.
Now, I know for a fact that Kabuto knew that Tobi is not Madara as again referring to Chapter 520 pg 11, Kabuto needs a sufficient amount of "Blueprint" or DNA in order for the summoning to be made. Now think if this, If Tobi was Madara would he let Kabuto cut a piece of him just to summon him???? I think not. Kabuto found what's left of Madara (which could be a bone or whatever) so he was able to summon him back.
With that, I can establish that, Tobi wants to mislead everyone to think that he is Madara to hide his true intentions.
Next, not because we saw Tobi first with a sharingan or mangekyo or whatever, it can be said that he is an Uchiha. Take Kakashi and Danzo or whatever for example.
All the proof that most people post's could very be a part of Masashi's grand plan of deceiving us all or whatever. I think it's the simple details that we tend to overlook that we need to look deeper on.
Now here's my far fetched theory...
We all know that it was from Tobi that we knew what the sage of the six paths did. How did Tobi knew about the sage of the six paths?? and in fact the details of what the sage did were never mentioned before he appeared in the manga???
It was also revealed that Tobi was the one who founded the Akatsuki with a mission to gather the tailed beasts.
In the beginning, as what Tobi told us, there was just the ten tailed. it's chakra was divided and it's body became the moon. Tobi plans to use the moon for his genjutsu, or is it really a genjutsu?
I remember from a chapter saying that Tobi was pure evil because he was not even driven by revenge or pain or whatever negative feeling. So why does he want to create a genjutsu to control the world according to what he said?? But, we now know for a fact that Tobi is a liar saying that he is Madara, now, is he really trying to control the world or is he going for the pretense of evil?
Chapter 510 pg 12 talks about the six of the sage as being a requirement to complete something. "Two of the six paths.." meants 2 out of 6, or 2 down 4 more to go.
This gives us an impression that he wants to complete something, aside from gathering the tailed beasts to complete his so called plan of creating a worldwide genjutsu. Why would Tobi wanted to complete the six paths of the sage of the six paths? And to top it all, why was the sage of the six paths called sage of the six paths? Certainly it's not that because pain's techniques has paths on like (like Asura path or whatever).
Another thing, we all know that Tobi is a shell of his former self. A shell of someone grand and all knowing. Someone who knew how it all began because if not, he could never come up with all of his schemes.
Now if you are pissed with what I'm saying, just stop reading this and look for other threads cause the statements below could make this whole community revolt against me.
So you want to know what I'm thinking? Here it is.
Tobi wanted to gather the tailed beast not because he wanted to use it to create a genjusto using the moon. He wanted to gather the tailed beasts to be sealed in the moon.
Tobi lied about being Madara as Madara was the greatest villain of all time, he wanted to convince everyone that he is evil. Why? Because it's the only way for him to hide his real plans saying that he wanted to rule the world or whatever.
Tobi is the shell of his former self. He has only 2 of the six paths. When he completes the six paths, he will become his true self again. So what are the six paths? I dunno yet but I know for a fact that the six paths runs from the decendant of the Sage of the Six Paths (refer to chapter 510 pg 12).
So the bottom line. Why would Tobi do all of that?
Simple. He knew that he made a mistake from a long time ago of creating the ninja world with the power of the tailed beast on the people's hands. It only caused a lot war and suffering thus he felt it was all his fault. Now he plans on ending it for good.
Hence, I'm saying that Tobi is actually the Sage of the Six paths.
Too far fetched?? Who isn't??
If I'm right, well that would be nice.
But if I'm wrong, well, shame on me for thinking unlike everyone and thinking out the box. Shame on me for having a very wild imagination. LOL!
