Regardless of the time it passes. Can we be given that ability. Maybe freedom only for the threads inside the Custom Jutsu User's section?
I agree. And before people get that "you can edit an already approved cj" i'll just remember a suggestion made some time ago: just make it mandatory to post the link to the post in the CJ thread were the jutsu was approved. This way, even if people can edit the posts in the custom jutsu users they will still have to post a proof that whats there is what was exactly approved.

I like the Idea.

Theres only one problem.

TRUST.

Are people trustworthy enough to actually be given that? Whats stopping people from editing their CJs to add or take out stuff that wasnt approved with the original? Granted they could change it everytime they do an Update (XXXX Approved Customs V5..) There would be a track history, but who actually checks that?

Are admins and mods willing to trust that people wont do this?

(At least this was the origin...if im not mistaken....as to why they threads became closed after a period of time. PRevents people from going in and changing things.)

That's incorrect.. we can only close and delete our own threads.

OT: I agree, but I think Izuna said something about it. So people wouldn't edit their CJs or something I forget.

EDIT: Lol at scrop :p
EDIT: Ahhh, I see I am not alone in my thinking.

@SCorps. I have already taken to doing that....though I really only do it with my Hyenas.

From my mod point of view, the only way I see this getting approved is if everyone link the post to which the jutsu was approved in their CJ personal thread.

I wouldn't mind it if this little rule was added.

Great minds think alike ^^

If that rule existed, and since no one but the staff can edit the CJ thread, there wouldn't actually be a way to edit things without getting caught because with the current system you can copy the approved jutsu and do small tweaks and edits to it like 1 week after you post it in your cj thread that no one would actually notice as most mods and members don't keep checking those posts. So i think that even if the edit isn't approved, you should post the approval links always. Even without the edit i think it should be mandatory

I understand what you say. In my part, it was just because I have a certain style and organization, and after a while it gets tiring to always get mods to edit it. I'm thankful to Cali, yet I hate to bother him with such trivial matter.

Okay, may I revisit this suggestion? With the new rules added, we are obligated to post the link of approval to every jutsu we post in our Custom Jutsu Thread.
Can we now have unlimited editing power there?

This would truly be powerful in the terms of organization. The CJ forum area would be really organized due to not having to reorganize all of your jutsu.

There is already a rule that you need to number all you jutsu, and when you attempt to drop any created jutsu it would get all jumbled up and stuff. :V The editing of CJs would be the problem, but it seems like there is already a rule on posting proof posts on approval so everything should work. :D

I agree and hope this get implemented.

Well, i dunno if its possible in terms of VBulletin but with the new rules it doesn't leave much room for misuse as you say. (checks my old replied....linking was a great idea then...hated now...lol)

I'll link this to nexus for him to check if its viable. However, with that thread i posted there, you can simply make new cjs threads when yours gets too old or too messed up and i'll clean and move the old one to the hidden section to archive.

Also, i'm available to (WITHIN REASON) edit minor things in cj threads if needed. Its not something i can promise to do always but if its a quick fix or minor editing in a post you can't edit, and if i'm available i'll do it. But its like an extra that i can't promise to do every single time.
