One thing I don't understand. (May have spoilers)

I was wondering for quite some time honestly and even went back and reread the fight between Danzo and Sasuke and Itachi and Sasuke. Tobi tells Sasuke all these things that are the supposed truth of Itachi and which may be true from the way he acted sure.

But what confuses me is if all this stuff is true and the Uchiha were going to destroy the village in that retaliation they were planning until Itachi stepped in. (And the decision was pretty big kill friends and family to save the entire village.)

... I guess what I'm saying is Itachi's thought process confuses the hell out of me... I mean killed all those people even children in his own clan... I just I don't know how to wrap my head around it. Can someone please explains this one to me? Not only that but Tobi... Being as strong as that mofo is why the need to call himself Madara when we just found out

Itachi was kinda in the mindset sai was in we he met naruto. When they are given orders they are suppose to carry them out. Itachi was basically the elder's tool. Itachi was the only person capable of killing the whol clan cause the uchiha trusted him. As we saw in an episode he came in their house in plain sight and just waited for them to turn their backs to kill them.

so basically he was doing someone elses dirty work but he did it out of hard core love for his village.

true it doesnt make sense how a smart and powerful ninja like itachi could'nt have resolved this another way

itachi did all this because he found out the secret of the sharingan
he knew deep down if they had found out the secret of sharingan then theres no telling what would happen. the village would have been destroyed and then it would have been way worse then it already is

Well if anything on my current trail of thought this all goes back and hits Madara dead in the face then wouldn't it? I mean if he wasn't so power hungry back then the secrets of the Uchiha would still be a secret would it not?

But from what they were saying times back then were hard and crazy and if you didn't have power, you simply were wiped out. And I see where you're going with it may have been the only way but come on... This is ITACHI. XD

If he was able to think this far ahead to push Sasuke to the edge to kill Oro he maybe could have talked the 3rd into a different solution to solve the problem. Worse comes to worse I say have the Sharingan sealed from all of them. It's not the best solution but... It saves life doesn't it?

well he was ordered to kill the clan to stop their rebellion. If the uchiha had rebelled most of them probably would have been killed. Now I know they were strong but they could not have taken on all of the other clans in the hidden leaf on their own. So they would have all been killed anyways and a ton of other people from the hidden leaf would have died.

the plan from the elders was that he would do this and be praised for saving the village. however itachi cared for sasuke too much. he instead decided to let sasuke live and become an exile. Plus by doing this he could keep watch on akatsuki to further protect the hidden leaf.

So pretty much Itachi killed the clan because if he had not, they would have died anyways and so would a lot of other people from the leaf. However he decided he would rather live as a traitor so that his brother could be seen as a hero for killing him later.

uh no bruh i disagree

the sharingan is the symbol of uchiha . theres no way i would have let them seal my eyes away. not the great sharingan

Yea that's probably true. A good portion of them would have been killed off against all the other clans in the leaf as I didn't see them packing anything besides Regular Sharingan and maybe a crap load of ninjutsu. But wow I feel for Itachi honestly to have to go through all this... Wasn't he 19-20ish or so at this time?

And if they gave them more power and a say in the government none of this would have happened truthfully. I mean they were pretty much just caged and being watched 24/7 anyone would get irritated about that you know.

I may have stepped a bit out of term with the sealing as the Uchiha's symbal is the Sharingan you're right about that. But If you think about it they are also the most tainted by far. From what Kishi has allowed us to see anyway. :/

I mean I'm sure every clan has their dark secrets that shouldn't be reveled the only problem with the Uchiha is their history is always blown in the front of the news paper. And Tobi isn't helping this. >.>

Sorry to burst your bubble but that's not too likely... Sasuke has gone to the dark side. He isn't going to do anything heroic. It all went downhill for him when he joined Orochimaru, an enemy of the Hidden Leaf.

It's just because Itachi is a real protagonist in the series, with a role of an antagonist.
