i have always bashed people for thinking tobi was obito, but alot of times my only theory against it was the fact that he was madara....well now hes not. and...tobis transportation technique looks awfully similar to kakashis kamui...

Tobi/Madara is 1/2 White Zestu and 1/2 Black Zestu

Zestu is 1/2 Black Zestu and 1/2 White Zestu

Black Zestu and White Zestu are two diffrent entitties

Both have their own personalities and special attributes

Thats why their split into halfs and combined to form 2 man cells
It's like the perfect tag team. He is I and I am him.

Tobi/Madara can't be defeated unless you destroy the other 1/2 of Black Zestu. That's the true source of his powers...

When it's all said and done, since I'm the only one that's been posting this theory for months when it happen. Don't lie and say you said this.. Give me my damn credit!

Tobi is really one of a kind, a super villain... he even fooled Itachi into believing he was Madara. No wonder he always wears a mask!!
But why was he after shisui's eye after Danzo was dead? He already had EMS, why would he want a non EMS?

Just a thought, think of all we know about Madara. The story of him was explained by Itachi showing Sasuke his EMS. But "WE" havent really seen him use it at all or show that hes got it. Plus he talks about himself in the 3rd person alot. Even Kabuto said " I dont want to be as infamous as the Great Madara " why say that about someone standing infront of you as if they werent them. That lead me to believe he wasnt. Plus the fact that Zetsu calls him Tobi even after he revealed who he was. Point is This guy has only shown us one thing, that hes got a time/space Ninjutsu but throughout the whole story hes just said he was Madara, with no evidence to support that. Even Minato said "whoever this guy is" while fighting him. So in conclusion, the basis for him saying he was Madara and all the events of other people assuming he is and saying it supported us all thinking that he was but if you read closely at the manga he nor anyone ever confirmed this by far. With that being said, I dont think its an Uchiha that we even know. It would be screwed up of Kishi to do this, but at this rate we have too much intell on the Uchiha clan from just the people we were introduced to band form speculation based on that, just what Kishi wants us to do. We have all been wrong in our assumptions thus far. This person could very well transplanted eyes the way Danzo did, because again "WE HAVE NEVER SEEN HIS EMS" hes only talked about it. And reading back in the episode that he retrieved the rinnegan hes seen it 3 times. He has seen 2 Generations of it, and said it was "his to begin with" so lets do something far fetched. Could it be that Tobi is infact SO6P reincarnate? Hes got alot of knowledge about the legend, had possession of the eye, knew of Uchihas clan secrets. And we all assumed he had the 1sts cells based on what we saw, but if hes not Madara and didnt fight him how did he get it, how did he extend his life force? If the original Madara is dead, and never wanted to implement the MOONS EYE PLAN then why would this person want to? If you remember in Itachis story one of the Sages sons had his eyes, the other his life force, we know that the sage passed but what of his children, how do we know if one of them survived and lived in secret able to follow history in shadow and act as Madara someone current to carry out this MOONS EYE. Just a thought.

Share your comments, even if this is far fetched, what other proof do we have that supports its not, we use our logic in saying too much time passed that cant be, but apparently time isnt really relevant with Kishi.

Look closely, the mask is covered in shadow as well, it's just not as dark. And if he were truly black and white, explain why his feet are the same color. In the manga and anime his feet are clearly shown to be regular, not one half black and the other white as you claim.

Vertically half black in white... Meaning up and down... Manga 510 pg 15 if you know anything about art, lighting, and shading. You will see that the black glove that Madara is wearing is the same as his arm, pitch black as he's grabing Konans neck! Now look at The angle of Konan and his Cloak if you know anything about the direction of lighting you will clearly notice that Madara left side from his head to his arm... I can't say lower body because he has on a long Cloak so I can't see further. But I'm sure, I can't say 1/2 because I don't have x-ray vision but make up a great percentage of Black Zestu.

My theory on why you don't see Tobi/Madara use the EMS is because he gave his EMS to Nagato and it evolved into the Renningan..

Sage body and energy that was passed down to the youngest son was the Senju/Uzumaki.

Tobi is Madara and Madara is Madara

Also, as I pointed out earlier, he wears sandals quite obviously, so it would be easy to determine if he is black and white. Seeing as his feet are the same color, I'm having a hard time believing your theory.

I still think that somehow tobi is still madara. there are many zetsu or soul type theories on this thread so i will not repeat them but i think that if it isn't madara it is izuna

also to all you guys who thinks it is obito, we saw him die, and some say he used izanagi or a genjustu to fake his death. it makes no sense because he was like fifteen and he just awakened his sharingan like one hour prior to his death so there is no way he knew izanagi or any fancy genjustu so it is definitely not obito!

you know i think that madara somehow found a way to preserve is mind as well as his eyes in the body of a zetsu which is now known as tobi. this would explain tobi's knowledge of all things madara like his past and all of his plans. it would also explain why tobi is thought to be "a shell of his former self" or rather a shell of madara. and it would explain how tobi has the sharingan and why he doesn't have blood when he broke off his arm but only white pulse. im thinking that maybe madara created tobi because he was nearing death and left pieces of himself behind so that he could be resurrected. this theory explains every quostion i could think of and fits perfectly to me. so with this being said i wouldn't say that tobi = half of madara but rather tobi = pieces of madara. makes sense?
