Motivation for this? In addition he had just for the first time activated his sharingan what makes you think he could cast genjutsu of that level? And last but not least, Tobi's other eye was shown with the fight against Konan, his mask was broken and he explained that he had just used Izanagi that eye was then shown shutting forever. He later replaced that shut eye with the Rinegan.

i believe the end result of this whole war rest mainly with itachi and saskue!!!! as for madara i'm not so sure that the man behind the mask is madara as some believe but i think it may be madara's brother. naruto and the others are going to get wiped out by madara but saskue is going to join the fight on naruto's side; not because he wants to help him but because he's eager to prove between himself and naruto who is stronger so he'll want naruto to rest and get back his strength. he'll also want to fight against "this" madara to test out how strong his eternal mangeykyo sharingan really is as he said in the chapeter where he said ''i'll like to test this when i get outside". But the main point the end result of this whole battle rest with what happens when itachi finds kabuto and what saskue does when he goes outside and recognise what is taking place cause as he said he's not on madara's side he's just using him so he can get stronger.......the next three chapeters will prove what i just said so stay in tuned!!!!!

Well this is My best prediction about who is Tobi; First let's see all this Information
1)Tobi hates Konoha=>Tobi is not Obito
2)If Tobi is a somepart of Madara's soul and he was looking for a Nagato Riingan to revive completly himself why he didn't that when he got Nagato's enys from Konan=>Tobi is not madara
3)Itachi was already resseructed =>Tobi is not Itachi
4)Tobi's plan is to rule the world with MS Tsukomyu , and we all know that using MS too long makes you blind only if you are taking some body else MS and this transplent doesn't work only between Uchiha shinobi =>Tobi is an Uchiha who took his MS from another Uchiha
5)The only way that an Uchiha could get informations about 10 tails bijuu is weather he is from a very ancient time or he read it from the uchiha secret rock, and we know that Tobi needed Riingan to accomplish reading The informations from the rock => Tobi is not the sage of six paths son and this confirms that he is not tobi since tobi did not had MS or Sasuke's father
6)Tobi is using his MS and he lost one in the fight vs Konan and we saw there that he can solidify himself (He is made of Real Flesh) => Tobi is not Shisu since Shisu los both of his eyes one to Itachi and and one To Danzo and Tobi was looking for Shisu's Eye from Danzo

I have one question for you : If Tobi is somekind of a part of Madaras soul or anything he left to revive him later with Riingan why Didn't Tobi revived Madara after he got Nagato Riingan eye with full power (since he was intending to use it on Yamato)
you have to remember , madara got the rinnegan AFTER kabuto showed him the body, so tobi/madara couldnt resurrect madara using the technique because kabuto had it first. and i think tobi went along with the war without madara because he had no choice, he didnt want to cause commotion and risk his life by trying to get the soul back to the pure world. and plus it will probably be easier for tobi this way, he just has to use the human path to rip the soul from the edo body and insert it in himself.
i think this is the most likely theory of tobi=madara , ive been playing around with it and i actually find it very easy to put pieces together , i havent found any doubts YET either.
After reading this chapter i bagan thinking about how Tobi might be Inzua.. But then i though about the slit theory, and as a mather of fact both Minato and itachi thinks that Tobi is madara.. And The Kyuubi encountered Tobi and the kyuubi again told Sasuke about that time he met Madara.. Also Jiraya thinks that the only person being able to summon the kyuubi is Madara.. So im gonna take Itachis word about Madara being a shell of his former self litterally.. Tobi is just madaras body without its spirit.. Dont really know how to argue about it, but something must hav happened against his battle with the 1st Hokage.. well just have to wait and see:S

Ok so when "Tobi" takes control of the nine tail and fight the fourth he has the same hair cut as he has when he currently has.
Look at manga 503 page 8, would post link but cant yet cuz dont have 10 posts
When he meets up with Itachi which happened AFTER his fight with the fourth, he has long hair

So it seems odd that he would grow his hair cut it so i feel like there may be two different people who in the beginning pretended to be the same person and called themselves "Tobi." The person who confronts Itachi was actually madara and the one who fights the fourth and is still alive is some other person. This mysterious person was probably a subordinate of the real madara though they pretended to be the same person. For whatever reason they knew that the real madara was going to die so they gave the rinnegan to nagato so he would one day revive the real madara. The subordinate who is refered to as "Tobi" was to carry out this mission and bring madara back, and madara knowing this is the reason why he replied the way he did when he was brought back.
Something may have changed in "Tobi's" mind and he decided that maybe he can rule rather then be madaras subordinate. But for some reason he needed madara and he wanted to bring him back and be able to control him. He tried doing so by using Shisui's eye, and that is why he was so mad when danzo destroyed the eye.
As far as who is the mysterious person my opinions are as folows.
Izuna: Yes it was stated that his eyes were taken to give madara the ems but it never said he died. Maybe madara got him a new pair of eyes since he took his, which would explain why he has to cover one of his sharingans because they are not his originals so they drain to much chakara.
Kagami: He may have been angry at the third that he got to where he was while he was a kind of a nobody so he joined with madara.
Madara's Split half: He split himself in half for what ever reason and was planning to bring the other half back
Some other unexpected person is also possible but who knows

Madara possessed the EMS. In order to possess such an eye, the person must sacrifice himself as well as give his eyes away. Same as Itachi and Sasuke. Itachi knew he had to die and order for Sasuke to possess the EMS. He wanted Sasuke to protect Konoha against Madara. Madara never lost an eye or his eyes in battle he gave his EMS to Nagato Uzumaki/Senju decent, it then evolved into the Renningan. The same process applies to Madara, He had to die/ sacrifice his self in order for Nagato to obtain the Renningan from his EMS. But before he died/sacrifice his self he made a clone, Tobi/Madara out of White Zestu and Maybe created Black Zestu with Izanagi. That's my theory

Very good prediction. The only thing that doesn't seem right is that Madara's other half is Tobi well this is still possible but now I think the chances are that it isn't possible because they are different people.

Anyone realized Madara is showing only one eye off, that mean the masked madara is someone who can be a Uchiha Izuna or its a Zetsu clone that has one of madara's eye remember he sacrifice his left instead of his right for Konan fight that means it was a junk eye to use as safety net.
