Obito's body may have recovered by Zetsu. Madara's memories was placed inside the edo Madara by the "Gedo Rinne Tensei" technique/jutsu.

tobi is the cell of senju and uchiha together thats why he can use izanagi,he got a full body like the six sage,that why he can may have the sharingan and Rinnegan... the only thing missing is the soul of madara..

A shortened version of the theory i lost after writing it for an hour was that Madara is both of them...

Tobi is madara's memories in Obito's body, he would lose his own techniques as his original body was probably dying (old age?) but he would have Obito's technique Space Time Jutsu and the implanted DNA sample, from Madaras fight with Hashirama at the VotE, this would give him the ability to use Izanagi freely and ultimately Banbutsu Sozo, once he had his rinnegan and his plan was complete.

He made a plan long ago to unite his soon to be dead body ie edo tensei'd madara and EMS, with his new Tobi body, so that he could use EMS, Izanagi, Space Time Jutsu, Banbutsu Sozo and control the Jubi once it had been gathered. Essentially the sage of the six paths reborn plus his own EMS.

However he was meant to be reborn with gedo rinne tensei, but Nagato uses it on the people of Konoha instead, thats why he talks about Nagato as it was part of his plan, Tobi's original plan to revive his body with Nagato failed, but he adapted when the snake (Kabuto) shows up, it fits in as he can revive his old body through impure world resurrection, so he agrees to an alliance with Kabuto. Sasuke was a sacrifice he was willing to make to gain ultimate power.

Madara mind is inside of Obito's body
Obito's body is Tobi, thus all the similarities.
Madara is Tobi.

this theory works for me... but didn't the fact that Madara thought it was Nagato that revived him make you think a little... If Tobi is Madara's memories, how did Kabuto get a hold of the actual body? The fact that Kabuto had Madara's body and showed Tobi, makes me think that Kabuto knows that Tobi is NOT Uchiha Madara. The idea of Uchiha Kagami is an interesting idea however...

Maybe the parts that were crushed on Obito were filled in by zetsu, explains when tobi fought Danzo's goons he just ripped off his arm that got infected?

What did i forget? I said that he has the both the senju and uchiha lines in him and is therefore able to use izanagi and banbatsu sozo.

true, and if you look at the other members of Akatsuki, like Kakuzu for instance, he is able to sew body parts back on like he did with Deidara... Although it didn't seem like Tobi had all of Akatsuki on his side, it is in the realm of possibility that he used their abilities to get body parts from other shinobi

If you think about it ,Kagami Uchiha makes more sense being Tobi then Madara does. Kagami Uchiha was taught by the second (the same guy the 4th based his space time techs on)so that would explain tobis abilities, he was also on the same team as the 4 elders(the third, danzo and the other two current elders), they were the only ones who knew about the massacre so it's possible that their team mate(Kagami) had a hand in it as well. and it would explain why he still hides his face even tho he himself(tobi) says that he's madara and everyone else seems to think so as well so what does he gain by hiding himself if he really is Madara? and what could possibly make "MADARA" of all people stop in his tracks and SUBMIT to kabuto by letting him on the team??? nothing... if he really is madara he shouldn't give a damn whose in that last coffin. but since he was obviously worried about the contents and let kabuto on the team because he doesn't want anyone else to see those content, it would only make sense that it's madara in there(the coffin). thats why we weren't shown who it was. that is the only explanation to the scenario... tobi not being madara and kabuto exposing that is the ONLY THING that could **** his plan up. it is sooo obvious that he's just using madaras name and prowess. Him being kagami would also explain why Kishi-sama decided to put that flashback for danzo in there. The flashback is the only place you see kagami and it showed that he survived with the rest of his team mates thanks to his sensei, the 2nd hokage. It also shows his connection to those who were responsible for the uchiha massacre. and if he already knew about the MS and EMS he would be all about having a hand in the massacre of his own clan. im not saying that this is fact but how can anyone say that it doesn't make sense? with all those dumb theories out there like tobi being Obito or him being madara in another body or even being madara in a old ass 100 year(just a rough estimate) old body. if yall can believe all that nonsense then why the hell is it so hard too believe that it could be Kagami???

I think that for it to be Obito, Tobi would have to really be the other black half of Zetsu. Sounds weird. Anyway, in order for him to use the sharingan he merged with Obito's body. Hence the mask with only one eye. Now I know we have seen him with 2, but that was after the Uchiha incident which he had a hand in, and after he had collected all those sharingan.
Now I know it's a bit far fetched, but with all this Tobi talk I thought it might be worth posting.

We all know Zetsu plays a big part of this. Tobi would not make it past this far without Zetsu. Zetsu is not a fighter, he's a true spy. Zetsu spies on many ninjas and remember Zetsu can travel everywhere!

OMFG dude..! I know now! At the end of chapter 559, we can see that Tobi is moving right? If your theory is true then Tobi is heading for the edo Madara. Once merged or united. They will completely destroy that area and that Naruto clone will vanish, which will send the real Naruto the message that Madara is finally AWAKENED. Madara may have mistaken Nagato to Tobi.

tobi is dangerous he can be more stronger than madara becuse hes a complete form of uchiha and senju,he's 2 in 1
