And how are you sure it's not Obito? The name fits, the haircut fits, we have not seen he's left side, only in shadows wich can explain the injuries from the rock. He has also lost he's family as the Uchia clan died while he was gone. Maybe he even killed Madara after helping Itachi killing the Uchia clan?
To me Obito is the best guess so far.
The only problem is Obito having two sharingan eyes.
How do you explain Madara having both eyes as dead?

OKAY so here is my interpretation of this chapter...
"Tobi" IS still Madara Uchia in my opinion.
1. When "Tobi" talked to Sasuke about what really happened with Itachi, he pulled down his mask. Thus, triggering Itachi's trap so when Sasuke saw Madara Uchia, he would kill him with the black flames.
2. When "Tobi" was talking with Naruto/Kakashi/Yamato about his plan and the past, he mentioned that he was indeed Madara and that he wasnt complete in terms of body/power i believe.
3. (All opinion based here) Lets go back to when Madara fought the 1st Hokage. During that battle Madara was able to collect the 1st's cells or w/e (that was mentioned in previous chapters) and it was assumed that he was killed by the 1st. now, what if he had a similar technique he split his body in 2 (just like the mummy character that Gaara recently fought). so, 1 body of Madara dies and the other still existed, in hiding, as Tobi. With the splitting technique, his strength is halved as mentioned eariler. So, this ties in to how "Tobi" mentioned he was not at full power and he wasnt how he used to be.
4. "Tobi" mentioned earlier that he was using Kabuto (that Kabuto wasnt using him). So, ill assume that "Tobi" knows Kabuto's plans of reviving Madara Uchia (his split body). Thus, another reason why "Tobi" is rushing to the battlefield (possibly attempting to reunite his bodies into his ultimate form).
5. Before Kabuto came into the picture, Madara had a plan to use Pain/Nagato to revive the dead. This could of possibly been the original plan to revive Madara's second body. However, Nagato died. That is why when Madara was resurrected, he mentioned Nagato and I'm assuming he, at first, thought Nagato revived him. But shortly, he was told it was the Impure Ressurection that revived him. This makes sense, since the revived Madara has no knowledge of what happened after he died, and assumed his second body (Tobi) continued the original plan that was made back before the fight between Madara and the 1st hokage.
so, this is my theory i just put together after watching this chapter. again, just my way of thinking

very good chapter but it throws into total confusion who is what, i personally think tobi might be a totally new character than an old one. i am starting to dislike Naruto now since he totally ignored hinta though it clearly shows that he has the memory of the events leading up to the pain/fox fight. i still miss nagato and i want to see Kimmumaru fight again!!!

If it is Obito half part of him is Zetsu then why can Zetsu part have an eye that cant be controlled by Zetsu part.If Zetsu can controlled sharigan and rinnegan all Zetsus will be using at least one sharigan he has lots , and winning the war will be much easy.

awesome chapt, madara was really dead, so who is the masked guy theory comes back xD, haha i guess its related to the zetsus, i dont believe its izuna or obito(thats was discredited when the masked guy/madara fought with konan showing that he had 2 sharingans) i believe that tobi might be his real name, and only used madara's name to cause fear, but i guess he had some relation to madara, he must have taken ,madaras techniques somehow (its a theory forgive me xd) because he knows alot of madara, most of his story and he knew about nagato too, in todays manga madara said that he thought nagato was behind the impure world resurrection, and many chapters ago, idk i think when tobi fought konan, he said he gave the rinnegan to nagato, so maybe this tobi did something with madara's and the first hokage's ceells

it seems like the ground shadow knew before hand that tobi was not madara as he does not show any surprise.

Ur stupid dumbass ? Tobi is verry old, deciding from body he's like 2x older than kakashi. Tobi kas 2 eyes, and Obito had only one bicouse other one was crushed CAMON GUYS SHUT THE **** UP WITH OBITO ITS BULLSHIT. cant hold my nerves srry xd

I always knew he wasnt the real madara remeber tobi's fight with konan how he lost sight in his eye trying to kill he i think tobi maybe madara brother who had to steal low level sharigans to amp up his own power i cant prove this but i think it may be true. Madara will show the true power of a uchia

it could be izuna, because he was probably an uchiha, and an oldish one at that

i think that it is obito since it probably cant be izuna cuz he already lost his eyes to madara
this means that if it is izuna, he had to get eyes that were equally strong as his

Had not thought about that, but things can always be explained. I still see Obito more likely that Izuna. The name is one of the main reasons too and there is so many things that makes sense.

As far as we know the man behind the mask is an Uchiha. I guess Tobi is smarter than Itachi after all.
