So, I don't see anyone else saying this so I'm gonna. What do we know about Tobi? Well we know he's very old, we know he originally possessed a rinnigan, and we know he has a sharingan. So the first two are what need to be focused on since having a sharingan doesnt mean you've had it since birth. Let's see so what line possesses the rinnigan? Well its passed down through the senju clan. His name is Tobi you say? Hmmm well how about Tobirama Senju, Hashirama's younger brother? Or does that make too much sense? I mean he would know all about madara, all about the rinnigan, and could have a reason for hating konoha due to his brother being the first hokage....

I think we can start getting ready to say goodbye to Kabuto now because really the only thing keeping him from being unkillable was "who was in the last coffin". So I think Itachi is about to own Kabuto.

A LOT of great things being discussed due to the reveal, but I believe one questions that has to be asked is how will Madara play into the 4th War story. Surely he will be a major player in the development of Naruto and potentially Sasuke. Kishi wouldn't bring a character of that magnitude into the story in the fashion that he did just to have him be defeated as easily as some of the former kages and other edo's. Think along the lines of Itachi being summoned and the result of that. Although, we're still waiting to see Itachi's impact on the war, but again I ask...What will Madara's be???

Well tobi has to be someone from the senju clan, it's the only way he could naturally have it in order to give it to nagato. Either that or he is the so6p, which is possible i suppose. It could be Hashirama's son who is never talked about, but there aren't many people it could be. I dont think that madara died during his battle with hashirama, but i dont this tobi can be madara. Tobi has to be either so6p or someone from senju

ok a few things to point out i never post here but htis chapter is epic

just to point on a few things iv seen ppl say here and nothing is in chronological order of the events happening

1) do u guys forget when tobi fought some1 i think maybe konan n the mask was off or half off and they were like " o m g its you? "
or something along them lines.. suggesting it is someone known in the narutoverse but not madaras face himself.. but some1 else

2) it wouldnt be the 2nd hokage he loved the leaf and died to save danzo and the 3rd

3) naruto IS already out of energy did u guys already forget he pooped out on one of his clones an said iv used to much energy uh oh.. suggesting that now somethin big is going to happen

4) I beleive sasuke is going to end up helping naruto in the end to battle the real madara/tobi bc i beleive n the end they merge back up and its a super battle @ the end..

we are coming to and epic end my friend its been a good few years of reading and watching.. i wish the anime wuld hurry n catch up bc i wanna see some anime war battles lol

it sounds weird but tobi says that he was only a shell from himself. like what orichimaru can do body switching. he was the one wite the hasirama's cells, it could be him.

but itachi seals him away and my story sucks.

but it can also madara's brother what some one before sad, he is old now and knows a lot about the uchia.

Another thought doesnt using izanagi darken that eye forever? When did tobi use izanagi? When he fought minato? Because i dont think he was joking when he said he was just wounded and also when izanagi is used your attacks become much more effective. Using izanagi woulndt he have been able to kill minato?

i truly hope madara ET does have an impact cause if he comes out for one battle and gets killed after 200+ eps of naruto shippuden hype then that would just be an epic anti climax

i have my own theory tht kishi will now mix some voldemort n dimensional shit together......n tobi is still madara bt in a different body!!!.....kabuto nw has managed to summon s original body of madara!!

and if you think back....itachi did not know about Tobi's ability to escape any physical attack.... it shows that itachi's companion in the uchia massacre might be a different person who fought against minato....

Wow so true the 3 hokage was beast.. And do you know how ima support your statement minatoisgod??? The 3rd hokage was the strongest kage in history just because of how long he survived FACT.

mostly all of those kage's that just died were from the 3rd generation of kage.. all of them looked pretty young when they were revived.. except for the 3rd raikage. Back in a time of pure war you would think the 3 hokage would've died like the 2nd but he didn't he survived longer than any hokage FACT.

Also like you said him being able to defeat both shows he was stronger I dont care what anyone says.. Even if the 3rd raikage fought the 3rd hokage i still believe the 3rd hokage would have won... He is just beastly. the 4th was the best tho lol.

well of course minato is the best hence the user name lol, i mean even kishi said in an interview that he and the 3rd are tied for top spot. But yea the third was a beast glad no hokage can be summoned then the alliance would have been boned i mean imagine madara, minato, sarutobi against them they got no chance.
