Well its possible, no doubt. But where did Izuna get his sharingan eyes from? How did he acquire space time ? How did he learn of Izanagi, and most importantly how the hell did he acquire Hashirama's dna? After his brother (madara) takes his eyes, Izuna fades away, Madara leads the Uchiha, Madara revolts, Madara summons the kyuubi and Madara fights Hashirama.All AFTER izuna died.......just some thoughts.

Well it's about time we found out. But it seemed like the Madara that came from the coffin was surprised about everything so Tobi has to be someone different I think now.

Okay, this has been bothering me for a while... so i did a little research around NB but no one seemed to mentions one particular thing about Tobi's identity...

Lemme start...
We've all heard the various theories about Tobi right? Tobi's Madara, Tobi's Zetsu, Tobi's Obito, Tobi's not even an Uchiha.
I think Tobi's actually Izuna, Madara's little brother... Why?

Okay, that's from the chapter where Itachi explains MS and EMS


Itachi's and Sasuke's relationship is like all Uchiha brothers, thus making the relationship between Madara and Izuna the same.... With the elder brother caring for the younger, (Itachi forcing Sasuke into Power, Madara unwillingly taking Izuna's eyes)
Now lets assume Sasuke is just like Izuna
If their times where reversed (Sasuke and Itachi were founders of the Uchiha clan) do you think Sasuke would have let a completely blind Itachi take his eyes? No... Itachi wouldn't too."What kind of Brother will willingly hurt his younger brother" these are Madara's words. So there are two things involved,
1. Madara gave Izuna his eyes
2. Izuna forefully took them to prevent his own blindness..
Remember, both he and Madara had MS so they were basically on the same level.

Either way, Izuna got Madara's eyes and obtained EMS... This part is unbelieving but look at this
"When someone creates a Jutsu, he first tests it out: In this case a jutsu that would completely envelope every one's mind in Genjutsu.... Moon's eye Plan... So Izuna, with his new found EMS cast the Genjutsu, cloaking himself as Madara. Seeing that this worked, he went ahead to plan to use it on the entire world, with the Juubi's chakra ofcourse.
Last point... When Kabuto opened the sixth coffin the Person shocked Tobi(Izuna) The person was definately, Madara's real body... Madara won't be afraid if it was his Younger brothe, but the case won't be the same in reverse..
Bottom line, Tobi is actually Izuna!

now your theory makes completely sense with the latest release the masked man is not actually madara... Madara has been just resurected this is unbelivebly cunfiusing...

im pretty sure EVERYONE is gonna say "ooohhhh i said madara was in the coffin!!" well that doesnt matter know im stoked it was the real madara in his prime the next chapters even if their talk no jutsu will still be great!!

yes, I always thought so, that was the reason kishi made the 4th change the setting when he was speaking to naruto, and it was right before he spoke about "the masked man" the fox would have known, and now I have another crazy theory, what if that new power that comes with obtaining the ems is some type of time travel or see into the future, it would explai his knowledge about nagato, but that would also mean that him and izuna planned it from the beginning and it was izuna's duty to go thru with the plan,

after madara went blind izuna gave him his eyes. a cuple of years later izuna died in battle.the only survivers of the uchiha clan are sasuke madara and itachi, so the only one it culd be is madara.

even tough madara was not supposed to be alive because it would mean that he is at least 130 year old( but the thing is masked dude is not madara... Madara has just been ressurected...

we actually dont know what happened to izuna it was never confrimed he died we all asummed he died. The exact point where madara died and tobi took over is critical in understanding who did what, like fighting minato, partnering with itachi, predendting to be the muikage etc..

Like i said in my thoery tobi(izuna didnt have eyes for some time until madara died. The zetsu connection is important here of how the transplant too place here.


regarding tobi's time space jutsu lets leave this out for the time being, we dont even know how this jutsu works and is need to excute it. Same with his phase shift tech. When those are revealed that will gives more info about the man under the mask but even then that wouldnt mean we know 100%. The key thing to remember is motive, what man would do the actions tobi has done.

none of the above. tobi is madara uchiha *ducks for cover* .
well im going to make it short and snappy for now but il consider making a thread later. tobi's attitude and recent activities implied he was madara (well for me it did) so thats one point. now to the speculation- ever heard of of izinagi? well izinagi can splits the soul/chakra and inserts it in an object(could be a body) . well in this case it could have been that madara used izinagi to create a body and put some of his soul in it. the sage of six paths done this to the juubi , he created the nine bijuu and then split the juubi up and put it in the bijuu . madara could of done this to himself and inserted half of himself in a test tube baby as a plan to keep his plan going even if he does die of anything. madara probably killed himself on purpose to completely give people the idea that he is dead while their is another half of him living life normally(undercover). hence why tobi kept on saying "im just a shell of my former self". this is such a better twist than "tobi = izuna or kagami or even obito"

izuna was as powerful as madara before he gave up his eyes to him, so it shoudnt come as a suprise that he had all those techniques. izuna could have faked his death. my theory is this is still madara , but not the real him, maybe some sort of zetsu clone.

A thread dedicated to everyone who said that the sixth coffin was madara before 559 came out.

And now, is it so crazy to believe that Tobi is izuna, or another Madara?

y is that the 4th sealed his self in 2 diff places and also the fox is found in diff places....so he could be a different breed of madara

the whole time I had thought that tobi was madara but felt that if he wasn't, then the next most likely person was izuna. i had some reasons for believing it, which you included in your explanation and even elaborated on more. You also made a point I had not even thought of regarding testing the jutsu and about being the same as itachi and sasuke, older protecting younger part. This also goes along with a previous theory that I had posted a long time ago related to the ms and ems.

that's the link to the old topic. however upon new evidence and revision I think that it is not just siblings giving up the eyes willingly, but the older sibling giving them to the younger sibling that enables the activation of the ems.

interesting but why when "Madara" was revived he said something like he knew he would get revived but it wouldnt be Tobi but Nagato .. its seems like he knew him somehow

I completely agree with this theory. This also ties into whenever Tobi would say he is a shell of his former self. He gave his brother his eyes in vain because Madara still ended up dying.

nah , Tobi said he needed nagatos rine tensei justu for himself, and the first thing madar said was that little brat nagato did grow, thinking he has been revived by him thus was surpised that it was edo tensei.
