Hey there .....
i think i have witnessed some drought in the fantasy genre of my reading since the end of the HP series and the late release of that christopher paolini's books..

So i was thinking about starting a new read with this series "The wheel of time"
by Robert Jordan it seems like a massive book series and looks like is able to keep its reader entertained for quite some time ......

I just wanted to know if anyone has already read it and if yes how good is the series and is it worth buying?

Thanks.

Wheel of Time Series is Good...very long and in depth...

Sword of Truth Series is awesome I think...even had a TV show that lasted for 2 seasons ^_^

Go to the classics and read Lord of the Rings if you havent.

I've actually even enjoyed the Star Wars books..I guess its Sci-Fi but some of them are really excellent. I loved Tales of the Bounty Hunter

^_^

I recommend Sword of Truth. They are easily the best books I have ever read.

Agree with the above comments, 'Sword of Truth' is a good fantasy.
I reccomend the "The Farseer Trilogy" by Robin Hobb.
I've also been thinking of reading 'Wheel of Time' as well.

Wheel of Time will take you a while :p

The original author died so a new author took over the series. Just so you know =D

Haven't read it (although it seems pretty interesting), but I strongly recommend "A Song of Ice and Fire" series if you haven't read it already. It also has ongoing TV show ("A Game of Thrones") which follows the books (first season follows "A Game of Thrones" installment; second is being filmed).

Percy Jackson.
The writing style itself isn't of such a high standard (nothing compared to LOTR or even Eragon), but the books are entertaining and funny.

I reccomend The Bartimaeus Trilogy. It is about magicians who summon demons and all sorts of things in between. And it is really interesting.
