Great sig considering it's your first!

Just a few little tips though..

I don't think the red text fits with the background, I'd say use a bolder white font and mess around with overlay and outer glow(black, always black) but that's just my opinion.

Also you should do something with the outer lines, perhaps some glow or mess about with strokes.. etcetera, again, just my opinion

Oh, and I think a dark-red background would fit better

not bad at all for a first! though i suggest u youtube a few tuts to get the basics and then you ur self will be able to figure out whats right and wrong. In my opinion, the sig is to plain and lacks interest. But then again, ur new at this and hey, u tried! so nice job
