Orochimaru's Subs jutsu

We have seen Oro using his substitution jutsu time and again and also teaching sasuke. But what type of jutsu it realys is? Think about it....does it really substitute the body???? when sasuke was fighting Itachi..it was shown that he evaded amaterasu using it

I though it was kinda like a substitution to, but instead of an item they used their shed skin. IDK maybe Kabuto will shed more light on it later.

He didn't teach it to Sasuke, Sasuke was able to use because he absorbed Orochimaru, and also It costs too much chakra, so Sasuke was only able to use it once against Itachi, and he can't use it now due to Itachi removing the Seal from him
