lol i only know english its funny how everybody knows a lil japanese who said you cant learn anything from watching cartoons....My mother tongue is not meant to be english but my parents never taught me any of their languages both my parents are bilingual but can only communicate to each other in english so it was impossible to learn my language.....(btw its yoruba)

Believe it or not.

My mother tongue: Chechen..
My second language is Russian, and I know it fluently, because Russian language is used everywhere in Chechnya, on all official documents and books, and we even learn it in school, because Chechnya is a part of Russian Federation. From knowing Russian, I can understand Ukrainian, and all languages that resemble Russian(theres a lot of them).
At age of 9 I moved to Norway, having lived here in 10 years(more than half of my life), I know fluent Norwegian and can understand all languages that resemble Norwegian, which is Swedish and Danish.
We learned English at school, and I am speaking English right now, so theres no need to convince you about that.
Even though there is some resemblance between Norwegian and German, there is still a whole lot of difference, so I chose it as the language I wanted to learn at Upper secondary school (2 years), because you could choose between French, Spanish, German or Latin..
Arabic, being a Muslim, you have to know Arabic to some degree, as in prayer, some phrases and on top of that, I took 2 months of Quran classes ^^

Lastly Japanese, well, from watching all that anime, I've developed a certain interest for the Japanese language.

It gets harder to learn new languages as you get older.. so it's good to start at early age. I didn't exactly choose to learn those languages when I was young, I didn't have any choice.

i fully believe you man cos i have heard that many languages are similar to russian so learning others is not as nearly as hard for you since you been also to norway and learned languages which are similar to that also. But still you kno a lot of languages, do you ever by accident mix up languages or forget parts of some?, just wondering
