Personality
Ryo is a very kind and helpful person. He always tries to make other people happy, even if it is at cost of his own happiness. He tends to be somewhat sarcastic when he talks to other people, but he can be dead serious if matters are urgent and need to be taken care of. Next to his sword, he has an obsession for Shurikens and Konohaball, and most of all… Ice cream.

History
Ryo always grew up in a happy family. He has always been a person of pride and honour, but most of all of respect. When he was still a toddler, he would play with other children who lived in his neighbourhood, never being cruel or selfish towards them.
Ryo is the oldest of the three Barutendo siblings, protecting his small sister Kazumi from boys who gazed at her beauty. And not to mention the little devil that followed him around all the time, Hiruzen. Because of this he always felt the need of helping and protecting others around him, even when he could barely take care of himself.
At the age of 9 he enlisted in the Academy at Konohagakure. He didn’t excel but knew how to use his skills, practicing hard and hoping to become a fine shinobi someday.
Around the same time, when he was a pre-teenager, his father taught him how to wield a sword and taught him the secrets of blacksmithing. When the time was there, his father helped him make his own sword, which he named Hyourinmaru, after the legendary swordman Hitsugaya, of whom he was the living image. He trained vigorously and never let his head sink, even when it seemed that he wouldn’t improve his skills. The sky was his limit.
However, there was one event that changed the course of his entire life. The murder on his parents.
It was a warm sunny evening. Ryo and his siblings went with their grandmother to the park, where they picnicked and played all day. Much joy was found playing in the fountain, competing in a game of Konohaball (a game in which you kick the ball to the opponent, and fire comes out when you kick. The harder you kick, the more fire you have.), and watching the twilight appear as they licked their ice creams.
After a long day, they finally returned home, to go and see their beloved parents. It was supposed to be an important day, as a visitor out of a distant land would come, and discuss a crucial building project for the country’s main economy.
As they came closer to their home, they saw that there was a lot of light, and a dozen shinobi were standing at their house. Two of them were apparently holding up a barrier in front of the main entrance. When Ryo saw this, he rushed to the door, demanding to know what happened. The shinobi however, only had a grim and sad expression on their face. Ryo knew enough.
He tried to bypass the barrier, but to no avail. he kept on trying and trying, only to be pushed back time after time. Tears filled his eyes every time he was pushed back, but he did not care. The pain inside of his heart, knowing what happened, was far worse than the pain that any barrier pushing him away could do.
After hearing what happened, he and his remaining family members were taken to the ANBU headquarters, to find out more of what might have happened. None of them knew anything until his grandmother spoke.
It seemed that there are still others who can teach Ryo the arts of Ice, but the future is still unsure about his mysterious talent.

Having a Bloodline Limit that combines these two, Ryo is very skilled in both separately, being able to use Suiton with less hand seals, and at a much faster rate.
Konohaball
Konohaball requires a lot of concentration. Due to having this high level of concentration when he needs to, Ryo can react much faster to things that happen around him.
Projectile master
Being obsessed with throwing projectiles (in particular shurikens) he is able to handle them very quickly, leaving him able to throw big amounts in a the same time others would throw smaller amounts.
Hyourinmaru
He always wears a Katana on his back, named Hyourinmaru, named after the the sword of the great swordsman Toushiro Hitsugaya. This sword doesn't have special properties.

”Every day, there is a large stream of refugees entering Konoha. During the Great Shinobi War, my family was no different.” She said.
“Do you mean we’re not from Konohagakure, grandma?!” Asked Ryo, as his expression grew in confusion.
“That is correct Ryo. Our roots and origins lie in the Yukikagure…” explained his grandmother.
“But that is where the Hy-“ said an ANBU member. But as he gasped for breath, Ryo’s grandmother interrupted him.
“Yes, I know what you mean, but please let me finish my story before you let us meet with your justice.”
“Our family is in direct line with the last known possessor of the Hyouton Kekkei Genkai, called Haku. A young boy, no more than your age Ryo.” Said his grandmother, and she continued.
“Though, information tells me that he was killed by those wretched dogs of Konoha… Our most proficient and last user…” she finished.
“But what does your family have to do with this? Haku was the last person to possess it, no one in your family does, so what does it matter?! And how did you get that information anyway?!” The ANBU-captain demanded the information he wanted.
“You are not the only one who hears things, Captain. And besides, do you honestly think we have no family tree of any kind in our family? Despite that we were hunted down as dogs, we still take pride in seeing our family grow. But think about what you ask… Haku was said to be the last Hyouton user… Was he really though?”
“What does all of this have to with my parents?! They were killed, I don’t care about this Haku or this stupid Hyouton thing; I just want to see my parents again.” Said Ryo as tears rolled from his cheeks yet again.
“Ryo, darling… You are the last person to possess this skill…” Said his Grandmother.
“Luckily, that is not so.” Said the ANBU captain.
“What do you mean?! Is there another?!” Asked grandmother.
