This thread would never end if ppl wanna compare prime when they both were healthy and had all their powers and mobility and no sickness nagato vs itachi, its a tough battle where both sides IMO itachi wins he is smart and uses his techs well and with susano, yata and the sword he can pull the win(and also tsukiyomi) but last but not least no matter what itachi would win becus he has KA since we are comparing their prime.

hmm i don't think that the "crippled and controlled" version of nagato would be his "prime" while the edo itachi which is immortal and can use susanoo and other MS abilities just like an eternal ms user now would we ?as i recall the 3rd layer of susanoo with his yata miror and totsuka would drain a normal MS user in matter of minutes since sasuke went blind for overusing his susanoo in his second form and its nowhere proven that it wouldn't had been a draw if naruto and bee wouldn't had helped itachi to break Chibaku Tenesey

I simply said Itachi has not been in a serious battle (Meaning he has never fought to kill) in the manga.

This battle isn't even really considered a battle as Nagato was trying to capture Naruto and B, while Itachi was protecting.

Nagato would beat Itachi. But Itachi has a huge plot hole. Totsuka sword and Yata mirror are major plot holes. Yata mirror can block any attack and Totsuka can seal anything. That's invincible, which is a plot problem. Kishi will probably get rid of Itachi quickly or simply not use those abilities.

No one said the rinnegan is infallible. But it allows for the highest potential of a ninja. All the elemental natures. Nagato trained with Jiraiya, he is probably pretty good at countering genjutsu.

Naruto and Bee were getting owned by Nagato who I should mention died twice prior to them getting owned but thanks to Edo Tensei, he was still alive and kicking.

Itachi beat him.

And stop crying about it being 3 vs. 1 when it obviously was 2 vs. 1 and Nagato was winning. Once Itachi joined, he managed to figure out his weakness, help Naruto and Bee and defeat Nagato.

Nagato had no handicap, in fact, he had an upper hand thanks to Edo Tensei's regeneration ability.

Itachi > Nagato. I did not see Itachi lose in anyway.

So just to be on the safe side since 3 jutsu killed it then itachi would use it three times. NP! lol. I dotn think it needs to be used three times anyways. Yes, Rinnegan is strong but it doesn't gurantee an auto win or other wise Uchiha are bearers of Sharingan/MS when awaken so they are stronger than everyone else except the Rinnegan user? No. The way someone uses their techs, abilities, and intelligent always get the real advantage.

As we know Itachi with Yata Mirror/Susano'o is invincible, stated by Zetsu unless proven otherwise (There is a weakness obviously). I'm not saying Pein/Nagato attacks cannot touch him but it yet has not been proven that Nagato can do anything against Susano'o or he can't, so once again another assumptions.

know? You mean 'no'. I'm not going to say if Kabuto did or did not know how to use the techs but seeing that he has been controlling his Edo with there techs, pretty good, I'd assume he'd have knowledge of Pein/Nagato and Rinnegan.

Kabuto is also confident on taking out Tobi who is a Rinnegan holder now also, so wouldn't say he knows nothing about Rinnegan, if he is positive that he can take out Tobi and all those Bijuu host (his 5-6 path), he must have a good knowledge of the Rinnegan.

5.NAGATO is too Powerful thats why Kishi made him loose legs and crippled after using Gedo Mazo. Now Edo-tensei Nagato is healthier than crippled nagato ,so Kishi put him against 3 Top Class Ninjas to defeat him.

Your point? Did you not follow the manga? Itachi was suffering from a disease, which played a big part in his life, Tobi stated he kept taking Medication/drugs in order to prolong his life. So, Itachi must be very powerful to if Kishi did that to his character, right? ie: In real life when a men/women is about to die but try prolonging their life, do you realise what they go through? the loss of stamina, focus, all parts of their body gets weak, and etc.

I agree that Itachi was a genius and he became captain of ANBU at 13.
But what I intended to tell was Nagato killed those ninjas without a fight just by using his 7th pain ability(ofcourse unknowingly). No matter how strong Itachi was at that age he has to fight to kill someone.
I believe just like how MS & EMS grants unique ability to its user, Rinnegan also grants unique ability to its user. Nagato's unique ability was that reviving technique and he got six paths powers by default as a rinnegan user.
I don't think Madara can perform Rinne-tensei jutsu even if he possesses the rinnegan because somewhere in manga he was angry when he was talking to Jetsu that he never thought nagato would use rinne tensei jutsu for something else other than his benefit.
When I said Nagato could kill anyone, what I meant was if he uses his 7th pain ability he could simply kill anyone.
Thats why Madara made him leader of akatsuki because he was strongest of all members. Madara manipulating nagato doesn't make him stronger than nagato. He manipulated nagato's darkness just like how he is using sasuke
now. Now that madara possesses rinnegan I wonder what his unique ability could be.
I compared Nagato to god because he had control on life & death.
