btw the majin buu arc and GT are filler so it doesnt count

Your wrong DBZ is not a rip off from superman. Goku came to earth to conquer it, not because his planet was being destroyed. And please don't count GT as part of Dragon Balls thats very offensive lol

I loved DBZ and To be honest as long as he doesn't start having them screaming all the time for more power then.... wait... its kind of starting to....

Naruto VS DBZ is where I get one of my reasons for believing in Sakura/Gaara as a potential couple, even though it may not happen.
The parallels between Naruto and DBZ are a bit much to ignore.
Goku is a main character, and Naruto is a main character. Bulma is main character's best friend, and Sakura is main character's best friend.
Vegeta is a reformed antagonist that turned into a rival/ally of Goku, and Gaara is a reformed antagonist that turned into a rival/ally of Naruto.
Bulma had a crush on Yamacha who decided to do his own thing around the time Vegeta turned good, and Sakura had a crush on Sasuke who decided to do his own thing around the time Gaara turned good.
Bulma had dated Yamacha on and off in the series. It's possible that Sakura may get together with Sasuke (if he comes back to the light side of the force), but I don't think it would last.
Much later in DBZ series, Bulma moves on with Vegeta. Now the question is will Sakura move on with Gaara? It's too close.
I mentioned this because everyone else is mentioning moves and clothes. I thought I'd throw in the similarities in the relationships. xd

ok...first of all kishi even admitted that watching dragon ballz inspired him to make naruto....
and somehwere along the thread i saw people saying naruto eats a lot like gku and all...well its true......in most of the manga the main character loves food..like natsu from fairy tail,luffy from one piece..etc... so its not a similarity..the same goes for having a big heart and being goofy all the time

- goku's spirit bomb resembles odama rasengan
- instant transmission resembles space time ninjutsu
- dbz characters are able to sense other peoples power levels and in naruto we have senseor ninja's
- sasuke resembles vegeta in so many ways mainly personality and sakura resembles chi chi
- jiraya (perv) taught naruto where as master roshi(perv) taught goku
- goku's entire race is destroyed(except vegeta) where as naruto's clan gets wiped out(except nagato who later dies)
- believ it or not goku transforming into ozaru as a kid also resembles naruto transforming into kyuubi(not much)

Except that Master Roshi became a piece of trash as the story expands, while Jiraiya did not.
The same goes to other characters especially villains. That's what I don't like from DBZ.
