Now Kabuto is the reason Nagato lost because he's a bad strategist. First of all, he used Nagato powers, BETTER than we've seen Nagato use it. He had both the 8 and 9 tails at his mercy in seconds. Nagato the so called great strategist couldn't even kill Jirayai with one arm when they ALL attacked him. Jman easily escaped and captured one of them. Nagato the great lost 5 paths just to capture Naruto and now all of a sudden, his tactics are meant to the best.

I don't think Pain has a chance of winning at all without finding himself caught in genjutsu.Itachi's genjutsus work in so many ways.

the summons are done by amaterasu, tendo pain can easily immobilized with genjutsu and sealed(itachi is smart he can tell who is strongest by seeing their abilities), preta can also be sealed cos he is slow and the sword is quite fast. Itachi can block any attacks meanwhile with his yata mirror. When he is done with those two he can he can use yaska to beat 1 or two of the other paths or he can just get out of susano and use amaterasu or other ninjutsu techs to beat thee rest. Itachi is very smart he wouuld take out and target the ones who would cause him the most trouble and deal with the rest with lower lvl jutsus.

2. Genjutsu can be done on more than 1 person though. Kabuto used it on multiple ppl in d Chuunin exams

Itachi showed that he can think calmly in tight situations. He analyzed the situation (quicker than Shikamaru), came up with a strategy and utilized it. Followed up with another attack, sealing Nagato away forever. Face it, his genius is what won the battle. And no, not Naruto and Bee, who were being held most of the time and being scared the other half. It wasn't 3 vs. 1. The attack to the core was solely Itachi.

Could he have done it on his own? Probably. Would he take that chance? No. He's tactical. If you have it, use it.

Itachi single-handedly stopped the shared vision, the statue and sealed Nagato. All the abilities that were so debated had become mute. What more do you need to prove it. Itachi's genius combined with the powerful techniques he has makes him the stronger ninja.

Pple forget that Jiraiya was a Great ninja he alluded all pains attacks with one arm just to find out his secret.He could have cut his losses but he didnt, a real Kohana kage ninja. Then soon as he lost his focus(after he figured out the secret ) One of the pains finally caught him and Crushed his throat. Before that point he never gave up and thats why they coudnt kill him

So this is how it would go if all new the other opponets abillities

i am not arguing with that man but we have not seen it from itachi so leave that out for now. look at my explanation he can still use genjutsu on tendo(gravity guy) and just seal him. and also take out the absorbing guy with sealing. itachi is smart dude these two are the ones danngerous and itachi wud target them first to get them out of the way. he can also meanwhile block any attacks with yata mirror and susano itself. Then he can take out these paths with regular ninjutsu, amaterasu or yasaka magatama. Itachi can win in many other ways than just genjutsu dude. itachi's chances are better.

thanks, that other guy details things on a minimal lvl its hilariousxd , my counter point in regards to what you wrote is, kabuto was controlling nagato right? all of them fell to itachi's tecs, due to that fact that nagato was not in control of his own paths, now if you face itachi against the 6 paths of pain, you will get a more organized 6 paths, for example there formation when vs naruto. sharingan eye sight it far greater then any ones eyes i will admit, but vs 6 pair of eyes watching every move you do, and im sure they can close ther eyes to combat itachi's genjutsu while the others see for them, for example, animal path whith its eyes disabled was still able to fight. remember they can revive each other, summon each other.

honestly dude u make it sound a little simple itachi would have to fight hard and use susano to win its not that simple. I agree that he can use genjutsu and stop 1 or two paths but there are six and we hav not seen anything like that from itachi b4 so that is only speculation and kabuto's jutsu is not a visual one it is not similar to itachi's. u might be right but we don't have proof for that now.

itachi can disable or slow down the one with the most power like tendo(gravity guy) with genjutsu and he becomes easily sealed. and don't u kno that once ur sealed u can't be revived, they are stored inside the jar of susano. the absorbing guy is also a problem and he is not too fast either and can also fall victim to the sword. the others are not nearly as strong and deadly as these two they can be hurt by amaterasu, itachi's ninjutsu and even yaska magatama. And once the reviving guy is gone he cannot revive anyone and the ppl who are sealed cannot come back.

Itachi's Sasano has the sealing blade and reflecting armor, plus amaterasu and mad strong genjutsu. Nagato has the push and pull but armor can reflect that. Maybe if he started with planetary destruction (gravity ball of death) he'd win but other then that Itachi hands down.
