[Theory] Itachi is stronger than Nagato

2. Now without edo tensei Itachi wud just get him in a genjutsu and its over, Pain even got caught by J-man's genjutsu and Itachi's is on another lvl, he can cast it by one finger.

Hey man YOU started it! And everyone keeps bring up PAIN's limitations talking about this fight between Itachi and NAGATO!

and as far as Pains 5 second thing Itachi could only overcome it assuming he could recover from it in time to USE amaterasu, remember how far he sent Narutos toads flying!!!

2. I thought this was Nagato vs Itachi not Pain vs Itachi, this is Nagato without 6 paths.

3. That doesnt mean that his jutsus have no weaknesses, it doesnt say the 5 sec interval no longer happens.

4. Make up your mind! Is this Nagato who isnt using his chakra in dead bodies or Pain, who is!! First you said he wud be using his paths then you said he isnt channeling his chakra THROUGH DEAD BODIES. WTF And also Itachi wudnt be sucked up by that time, what if Itachi does amatarasu in the start of the fight then does it again before 5 secs, knowing Itachi he wud easily figure out the 5 sec thing, maybe the next time Nagato uses shinra tensei.

5. No i doubt thats what Kishi was saying and yea he is way smarter and at the same power so Itachi wud win.

And yea Pain is epic too but i now believe Itachi wud win atleast 6/10 while Nagato wud win 4/10 in 10 fights because it's very likely for Itachi to do a genjutsu on him, with his Paths nagato stands more of a chance but then he has that 5 sec interval. So yea Itachi wud win.

And no i DEF don't have to admit that Itachi would win. I have no clue who would win lol. There was still plenty Nagato could've pulled outta the bag. I didnt think Itachi had any secrets left until he pulled out that long range attack so now there may be more up his sleeve too. The only reason he was able to seal Nagato in this particular instance is that the explosion from the combined attacks of him and Naruto and Bee obscured Nagatos vision enough that he didnt see Susano'os form become complete so he wasn't at all on guard or see the attack coming to even have a chance at dodging. It was great tactics on itachis part but tactics that involved his allies attacks so if he was alone that wouldn't have happened. Therefore........ I just wish we could've seen this fight we are all speculating about...

Agreed but I think I have given enuf evidence to prove that Itachi is probably a little bit stronger.

Nagato has ungodly chakra control... NOONE can argue with that. So let think back to Naruto's training when Jiraiya was teaching him TO BREAK OUT OF GENJUTSUS ON HIS OWN in case he faced Itachi again. Jiraiya wasnt dumb he wouldnt have tried to teach this to Naruto if it couldnt be done. If anyone can do it Nagato can. And again I'm not saying Nagato is better i'm just trying to point out that anyone who says that one of them is definitely going to win is just lying to themselves. They are so evenly matched its pretty much a matter of who makes a mistake first (Nagato) or who runs out of chakra first (Itachi)

Genjutsu affects one of the five senses and uses that to disrupt your internal chakra to alter what your senses are telling you. So if you can see....... Genjutsu can affect you. Sasuke who "can see through all your jutsu" still can get caught in genjutsu. Itachi can even get caught in genjutsu with his mangekyo sharingan. As he was being controlled by Kabuto he was caught by Shisui's so it wasn't like he LET himself be caught since he wasn't in control of himself. Genjutsu is definitely still in play.

Well yea, of course it's MAY work, but to what degree? It's not really logical to say that if Itachi Tsukiyomis Negato then he is done, when the Rinnegan is a greater doujutsu then Sharingan. Ma and Pa's genjutsu is a sound genjutsu, and it does make all the difference then a sharingan genjutsu where eye contact has to be made, but I won't go too much into detail because I already went over this earlier in the thread, if you want to find out here is a link:

With this, you can come up with a plausible conclusion on how Rinnegan may have some resistance to Sharingan, or you can completely deny it, or debate it with facts since these are facts from the manga and databook.
